How long does a typical graffiti summer camp session last?

Most summer camp workshops in Eindhoven run between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows our artists to cover the history of street art, safety instructions, sketching techniques, and plenty of actual spray painting. If you are looking for a full-day programme, we can easily extend the session with additional creative modules or collaborative mural projects. Just let us know your schedule, and we will make it happen!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for children and teenagers?

Absolutely! Health and safety are our top priorities. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks. We primarily use low-pressure spray cans which are easier for younger hands to control. All our instructors are experienced professionals used to working with youth groups. We ensure the workspace is well-ventilated and that everyone follows strict safety protocols while having the time of their lives.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a bit of 'artistic character'. While we provide protective overalls, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves and sneakers. Think of it as a creative uniform! Even if a little paint splashes, it serves as a great souvenir of a day spent being a real street artist in the heart of Eindhoven.

What happens if it rains on the day of the camp?

Rain won't stop the creativity! We have several partner locations in Eindhoven that offer sheltered or indoor spaces. If the weather looks truly dire, we can pivot to one of these spots or reschedule the session. Our backup artist policy also ensures that even if an instructor is unwell, your summer camp activity will go ahead as planned. We are all about keeping the fun going!

Do the kids need any prior drawing or painting experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding Picassos. Our artists guide the group through the basic 'tags' and 'throws' before moving on to more complex pieces. The goal is to build confidence and have fun with the medium. By the end of the session, everyone will have created something they can be proud of, regardless of their starting point.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

Our Eindhoven summer camp workshops are highly flexible. We can host small groups or large assemblies of up to 100+ participants. For larger groups, we bring in extra professional artists to ensure every child gets the attention and guidance they need. We maintain a high instructor-to-student ratio to keep the quality of the 'masterclass' feel consistent for every single participant.

Do we need to pay in advance to secure our booking?

We want the booking process to be as stress-free as possible for camp organisers. You don't need to pay anything upfront. We work on a trust basis where you pay after the workshop is successfully completed. This allows you to finalise your participant numbers without worrying about immediate deposits. Simply request a quote, confirm the date, and we'll handle the rest of the magic!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro about the history of graffiti and look at some of Eindhoven’s most famous murals.
Safety first: Every camper gets kitted out with gloves, masks, and protective gear while we explain how to use the cans safely.
Sketching the vision: Before touching the wall, participants grab markers and paper to plan their unique design or 'tag'.
Can control 101: Our pros teach the secrets of 'lines', 'fades', and 'dots' on a practice surface to get everyone comfortable.
The main event: It’s time to hit the canvas! Each camper starts bringing their large-scale masterpiece to life with vibrant colours.
Adding the details: We teach how to add highlights, lowlights, and sharp outlines to make the artwork really 'pop'.
Collaborative mural: Often, the group works together on one massive 'crew' piece to learn the value of teamwork in street art.
The big reveal: We do a final walkthrough where everyone shares their work and takes plenty of photos for the 'gram.
Wrap up: Participants can take their individual canvases home as a permanent memory of their Eindhoven summer camp experience!

Local culture

Eindhoven isn't just about high-tech and Philips; it is a sprawling playground for street art! From the world-famous Step In The Arena festival at the Berenkuil to the hidden gems in Strijp-S, the city breathes urban culture. Our workshops often draw inspiration from the 'Eindhoven vibe'—a mix of industrial grit and futuristic design. We love taking campers to see the transformative power of art in places like the Woensel West neighbourhood.

Fun Fact: Eindhoven is home to 'De Berenkuil', one of the largest legal graffiti spots in Europe! It hosts an annual international event where hundreds of artists from around the world fly in to repaint the entire transit circle.
