Do the kids need any previous drawing or art skills?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed. Our professional artists are mentors who specialise in guiding young people through the basics. We start with simple lines and shapes, building confidence until everyone feels comfortable creating their own masterpiece. It’s all about the process, expression, and having a blast with the spray cans while learning something new.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective overalls, and gloves to all participants. Our spray paints are professional-grade but used in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated workshops. Our instructors are experienced in managing groups of young people, ensuring everyone follows safety protocols while still having an incredible, energetic time.

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

A standard youth project workshop usually lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, a crash course in techniques, sketching ideas, and finally, the main event—painting the wall or canvas! We can adjust the duration to fit your specific schedule or project goals if needed.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you have a small youth group of 10 or a massive community event with over 100 participants, we have the staff and materials to handle it. For larger groups, we bring in extra professional artists to ensure every young person gets the individual attention and guidance they deserve.

Where in Eindhoven do the workshops take place?

We have access to several legal graffiti zones and cool urban spots around Eindhoven, such as the Berenkuil. However, if you have a specific location in mind—like a community centre, schoolyard, or youth club—we can often bring the workshop to you using mobile canvas walls or plastic foil setups to keep the area clean.

What happens if it rains on the day?

The best part about graffiti is that it’s all-weather fun! If we are outdoors and it starts to rain, we can often move to a sheltered area or use our mobile setups in an indoor space like a gym or hall. We always have a backup plan or a backup artist ready to go, so your event is never at risk.

Do we need to provide our own paint or masks?

You don't need to bring a thing! Graffitifun provides everything: premium spray paint in a rainbow of colours, caps, masks, coveralls, gloves, and the painting surface (walls or canvases). We recommend that participants wear old clothes and sneakers just in case a bit of 'artistic flair' misses the apron, but we've got the rest covered!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti project for your youth group in Eindhoven? It’s not just about paint; it’s about building confidence and community. Here’s why it works:

Authentic Urban Culture: We don't do "boring" art. We teach real street art techniques that actually resonate with teenagers. 🎤
Teamwork & Connection: Collaborative murals require communication, helping young people work together toward a massive, colourful goal. 🤝
Confidence Booster: Seeing a giant piece of art you created yourself provides an incredible sense of achievement. ✨
Safe & Supervised: Our pro artists ensure a respectful environment where safety is always the top priority.
Stress Relief: Spraying paint is a fantastic physical outlet for energy and a great way to clear the mind. 🧠💪
No Risk Booking: With our backup artist policy and "pay later" system, your project is in safe hands.

Step by step

Intro & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro about street art culture and a vital safety briefing on how to use the gear properly.
Design Brainstorm: Participants grab paper and markers to sketch their "tag" or a group concept, learning about letter flow and composition.
Can Control 101: Under the guidance of our pros, the youth learn how to hold the can, swap nozzles (caps), and manage finger pressure.
First Lines: We move to the wall or canvas to practice basic lines, dots, and fades to get a feel for the medium.
The Big Piece: The group starts their main project, whether it's an individual piece or a massive collaborative mural.
Filling & Shading: We teach the secrets of "fill-ins" and 3D shadows to make the artwork pop off the surface.
The Outline: The most satisfying part! Using a high-contrast colour to define the shapes and make the design look professional.
Highlights & Details: Adding those final sparks of white and "power lines" to give the project that authentic street art finish.
Photo Op & Wrap-up: We celebrate the hard work with a group photoshoot and a final debrief on the skills learned.

Local culture

Eindhoven is a city that breathes creativity. From the high-tech vibes of Strijp-S to the legendary Berenkuil (Bear Pit), which hosts the world-famous 'Step in the Arena' festival, street art is woven into the very fabric of the city. This isn't just a place for tech—it's a playground for urban artists. Our youth projects tap into this local heritage, connecting young people with Eindhoven's status as a Dutch graffiti capital. 🎨

Fun Fact: The Berenkuil in Eindhoven is one of the largest legal graffiti zones in Europe, meaning the art there changes almost every single day! 🌍
