Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Most of our pop-up event participants in Eindhoven have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists are experts at breaking down the basics, from how to hold the can to mastering different nozzles. We provide a safe, encouraging environment where you can experiment and learn at your own pace. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created!

What materials are included in the pop-up experience?

We take care of everything so you can focus on the fun. We provide high-quality spray paint in a huge range of colours, professional-grade masks, protective gloves, and overall suits to keep your clothes clean. Depending on the event setup, we also provide the canvases or boards you'll be painting on. Just bring your creativity and wear some comfortable 'work' shoes you don't mind getting a bit dusty!

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paint and provide all necessary rhythmic safety gear, including FFP2 or FFP3 masks and nitrile gloves. Our workshops usually take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially vented indoor spaces. Our artists provide a full safety briefing before anyone starts spraying to ensure a worry-free environment for everyone involved.

Are these events suitable for children?

Yes! Our pop-up events are fantastic for families. We generally recommend a minimum age of 6 or 7 so that the kids have the hand strength to work the spray caps. It's a brilliant way for parents and children to bond over a shared creative project. We even have smaller gloves and lighter gear for the younger 'mini-vandal' artists in training.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

The weather in Eindhoven can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If we're outdoors and it rains, we usually move to a sheltered area or use professional gazebos to keep the artists and the art dry. If the weather is truly extreme, we offer flexible rescheduling options or can pivot to an indoor location. We make sure the rain never dampens the creative spirit!

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard pop-up workshop sessions usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final artwork. For larger public events or festivals, we can run "drop-in" style sessions that last all day, allowing people to come and go as they please. We're flexible to fit your schedule!

How far in advance should I book my pop-up event?

Planning a pop-up event is easy. While we recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and artist, we can often handle last-minute requests thanks to our large network of backup artists. Since no upfront payment is required, you can lock in your date risk-free and pay after the workshop is completed. Just get in touch for a quick quote!

Local culture

Eindhoven isn't just a tech hub; it's a living, breathing canvas. From the legendary "Berbeur" (Step in the Arena) festival to the sprawling murals of the De Berenkuil traffic circle, this city has a deep-seated love for urban art. Our pop-up events tap into that local "Brainport" innovation, mixing old-school graffiti techniques with the modern, edgy vibe of spots like Strijp-S.

Fun Eindhoven Fact: Did you know Eindhoven is home to 'De Berenkuil'? It's one of the largest legal graffiti zones in Europe and hosts some of the world's best artists every year. When you join our workshop, you're literally following in the footsteps of street art legends! 🎨
