Do I need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our pop-up events in Almere are designed for beginners. Our professional street artists guide you through every step, from holding the can to mastering complex spray techniques. You don't need any prior drawing skills to create something you'll be proud of by the end of the session. We provide all the inspiration and hands-on help you need to feel like a pro traveler of the urban art scene.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 face masks to filter out fumes, along with protective overalls and gloves to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoor spaces. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can, ensuring a fun and secure environment for everyone involved in the Almere event.

How much does a graffiti pop-up event cost?

For our Almere pop-up events, the price typically ranges between €25 and €55 per person. This variation depends on the total number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and specific custom requirements like branded canvases or special themes. We believe in transparency, which is why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy and never require upfront payments for your booking.

What kind of surfaces will we be painting on?

We utilize a variety of surfaces depending on the event setup. This can include large mobile wooden canvases, stretch film (cellograff) between pillars, or even real walls where permitted. In Almere, we can set up at your specific location or recommend a local creative hotspot. The goal is to provide a professional-grade surface that mimics the authentic street art experience while remaining temporary and respectful of the property.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Standard pop-up workshops usually last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows for an introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule for a festival or corporate day in Almere, we can adapt the duration to fit your itinerary, offering shorter 'walk-in' sessions or more intensive masterclasses.

What should I wear to the graffiti workshop?

While we provide protective suits, we always recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. Spray paint can be unpredictable! Since Almere is a polder city with its own microclimate, if we are outdoors, bring an extra layer to stay warm while you work on your masterpiece. Clothing that allows for free movement is best for those wide-arm spray strokes.

What happens if the weather is bad or an artist is ill?

We understand that plans can change. One of the unique benefits of booking with Graffitifun is our artist standby system. We have a pool of backup artists ready to step in if your primary instructor is unavailable, ensuring your Almere event is never cancelled at the last minute. Furthermore, because we don't require upfront payments, you have peace of mind when scheduling your creative experience with us.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Almere is a city built on vision and creativity, making it a natural home for the expressive nature of graffiti. From the sleek lines of the City Lounges to the creative hubs in Almere Buiten, there is an appreciation here for the new and the bold. Unlike the historical alleys of Amsterdam or Utrecht, Almere offers wide-open spaces and a futuristic aesthetic that perfectly complements the "New School" graffiti styles we teach. Our workshops often draw inspiration from the city's unique relationship with water and modernism. We love bringing our pop-up kits to locations near the Weerwater or the creative architectural sites in the city centre, helping participants connect with Almere's evolving identity through the medium of spray paint.
