Is the workshop safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide all pupils with high-quality protective gear, including overalls, gloves, and specialised masks to prevent inhalation of fumes. Our professional artists are trained to manage large groups of energetic children, ensuring that spray cans are used responsibly and only on the designated canvases or walls. We keep the environment controlled and fun at all times.

Can younger children actually use the spray cans?

Absolutely! We use professional-grade spray paints that are designed for ease of use, even for smaller hands. We teach the kids specific techniques that don't require heavy pressure. For younger Year 1 or Year 2 groups, we can also integrate stencil work to help them achieve fantastic results regardless of their fine motor skills or previous artistic experience.

Where in Almere do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible when it comes to location. We can host the workshop at your school playground in Almere, using mobile walls or plastic-wrapped fences. If you prefer to get away from the classroom, we can arrange for the session to take place at a legal street art zone or a local community centre near your school.

What should the students wear on the day?

While we provide protective suits, we always recommend that pupils wear 'play clothes' or older school uniforms that parents don't mind getting a little messy. Graffiti paint is permanent once it dries on fabric, and while our suits cover most areas, enthusiastic artists have a habit of finding ways to get a little colour on their shoes!

How long does a typical session last?

A standard primary school workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This provides enough time for a short safety briefing, an introduction to street art history, sketching time, and the actual painting. We can adjust the duration to fit into your school timetable or break schedule as needed.

What happens if paint gets on the school property?

Don't worry, we won't leave you with a mess! We bring all necessary protective floor coverings and plastic sheeting to ensure your school grounds remain pristine. We take all empty cans and materials with us after the event. Our goal is to leave nothing behind except for the beautiful artwork the children have created on their canvases.

Are there any hidden costs for materials?

Our pricing is all-inclusive! The quote we provide covers the professional artist's time, all spray paint, masks, gloves, protective suits, and the canvases or boards that the children paint on. There are no hidden fees or surprise costs. Best of all, you don't need to pay anything upfront – we only invoice after the workshop.

Step by step

Introduction and inspiration: Our professional artist arrives at your Almere school and kicks off with a brief history of street art and a look at different styles.
Safety briefing: We explain how to use the spray cans safely and help every student get into their protective gear, including suits and masks.
Sketching the design: Before touching a spray can, pupils grab markers and paper to plan out their ideas and colour schemes.
Technique practice: We demonstrate "the basics" – how to create thin lines, fat caps, and smooth fades on a practice board.
Creation phase: The kids move to their individual or group canvases to bring their sketches to life with vibrant colours.
Detailing and outlines: Our artists help the students add those final sharp outlines and highlights that make the artwork pop.
Group gallery: We finish with a "walk-through" where students can admire each other's work and take group photos.
Clearing up: We pack up all materials and ensure the area is left exactly as we found it.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Almere is a city built on modern ideas and architecture, making it the perfect backdrop for contemporary street art. From the sleek lines of the City Centre to the creative vibes often found in areas like Almere Buiten, there is a sense of "newness" here that resonates with the bold nature of graffiti. Our workshops often draw inspiration from the city's unique landscape and the vibrant "Canal Parade" energy. We love working with local schools near the Weerwater or in the Hout district, bringing that urban edge to the next generation of Almere's young creatives. By participating, your students become part of the city's growing cultural fabric, learning that art isn't just found in old museums, but right here on the streets of Flevoland.

Pricing

Our primary school workshop packages are designed to be affordable and flexible for school budgets. Prices typically range from €25 to €55 per pupil, depending on the number of participants and the specific materials required (such as taking home individual canvases versus a large class mural).

We work with a transparency policy: no upfront payment is required. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed and you are 100% satisfied.
