How it works

  1. Introduction & Safety: Meet your pro artist and get fitted with high-quality masks and suits. Safety first, style second!
  2. The Basics: Learn about different spray caps (nozzles) and how they change your line width.
  3. Can Control: Practice making dots, lines, and simple shapes to get a feel for the pressure of the can.
  4. Sketching: Take your concept from paper to the wall using light 'ghost' lines to map out your design.
  5. Fill-ins: Learn the technique of solid filling and how to keep your colours vibrant.
  6. The Outline: This is where the magic happens! We'll show you how to 'clean up' your piece with a sharp outline.
  7. Shading & Highlights: Add depth and 3D effects to make your graffiti pop off the surface.
  8. The Final Cut: Add those little details and 'flairs' that make the artwork uniquely yours.
  9. Photo Ops & Review: We'll do a group photoshoot with the final mural—perfect for the university's socials!

Frequently asked questions

Is the graffiti workshop in Narva safe for students?

Narva is a city of contrasts, and we take safety seriously. Our artists are highly trained professionals who provide full safety briefings before any paint is sprayed. We provide high-quality respirators, gloves, and protective suits to ensure you leave the workshop as clean as you arrived. We also use premium spray paint brands that offer the best control for beginners, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all university students.

Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most participants in our Narva university workshops have never touched a spray can before. Our expert mentors break down the process into simple, manageable steps, from basic 'can control' to more advanced shading techniques. You will be amazed at what you can create in just a couple of hours with the right guidance. It is all about having fun and experimenting with a new medium.

What should we wear and what is provided?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dusty/dirty. While we provide full-body protective suits, spray paint can be unpredictable! If it's a sunny day, brings some water. We provide all the professional-grade spray cans, caps, masks, and canvases (or wall space) you'll need. Just bring your creativity and plenty of energy for the session!

Will we paint on a communal wall or individual canvases?

Our Narva workshops generally include a mix of shared wall space for practice and individual canvases or sections for your final masterpiece. For university groups, we often find that collaborative murals work best for building team spirit, but we can also arrange for everyone to take home their own piece of street art. We can customise the format to suit your faculty's specific goals.

What happens if it rains on the day of our workshop?

Narva's weather can be a bit tricky! If the forecast looks poor, we usually have indoor backup locations or large undercover areas available. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we almost never cancel. If things look really bad, we'll coordinate with you 24-48 hours in advance to move the workshop to a sheltered spot so the creative fun doesn't have to stop.

Can you bring the workshop directly to our university campus?

We are incredibly flexible when it comes to locations. We can host the workshop at various authorised street art spots in Narva, or if your university campus allows it, we can bring mobile graffiti walls directly to you! This is popular for campus festivals or orientation weeks. Just let us know your preference, and we will handle the logistics and any necessary permissions.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Standard university workshops last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper intro, technique practice, and the final creation. However, we are happy to adjust the duration if you have a tight schedule between lectures or if you want to turn it into a full-day creative 'jam' session for your student association.
