Why choose us in Salto?

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Salto? It’s more than just an art class; it’s a powerful tool for social connection and personal growth. Here is why our projects are a hit:

  • Total inclusivity: Street art doesn't care about your grades or athletic ability—it gets everyone involved! 🎨
  • Confidence boost: Seeing a massive, colourful mural they helped create gives kids a huge sense of pride. 💪
  • Teamwork in action: Large murals require communication and collaboration, teaching balance and respect. 🤝
  • Safe expression: We provide a legal, supervised outlet for energy and creativity. 🔥
  • Professional guidance: Our mentors are real artists who inspire the group with their skills and stories. 🎤
  • Pure fun: Let's be honest—spraying paint is incredibly satisfying and a great stress-buster! ✨

How it works

  1. Meet the pro: We start with an energetic intro from our professional graffiti artist who shares the secrets of the street art world.
  2. Concept brainstorming: The group works together to choose a theme or message that represents their Salto youth collective.
  3. Mastering the gear: A hands-on tutorial on how to use spray cans, different 'caps' (nozzles), and safety equipment correctly.
  4. Sketching the vision: Participants grab markers and paper to draft their designs and plan the layout of the mural.
  5. First lines: We move to the wall! Everyone gets to practice "can control" to get a feel for the pressure and distance.
  6. Layering and filling: The mural comes to life as we add vibrant colours and fill in the large sections of the artwork.
  7. The finishing touches: Our artists guide the youth in adding sharp outlines, highlights, and "tags" to make the art pop.
  8. Gallery walk and photos: We finish with a group photo in front of the masterpiece—the perfect memory of a creative day.

Frequently asked questions

Do the kids need any previous drawing or graffiti experience?

Absolutely! Our youth workshops in Salto are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional street artists start with the basics, teaching safe spray can handling, nozzle control, and simple lettering. No prior artistic talent is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to get a bit messy. By the end of the session, everyone will have created something they can be truly proud of.🎨

Is the workshop safe for teenagers and younger children?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and specialized FFP-rated masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and safety standards. Every session begins with a mandatory safety briefing, and our instructors supervise the group closely throughout the entire process to ensure a fun, hazard-free environment.🛡️

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

Standard youth project workshops in Salto typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the introduction, a sketching phase, a practice session on plastic wrap or test boards, and finally, the execution of the main mural. We find this timeframe is perfect for keeping energy levels high without the participants getting tired or losing focus.⏱️

Can you host the workshop at our own community centre?

Yes, we are fully mobile! While we have cool spots around Salto, we can also bring the workshop to your community centre, sports club, or school grounds. We use mobile "graffiti walls" (thick stretch film) to create a temporary canvas that doesn't leave any permanent marks on your venue. This makes it a perfect, clean-up-friendly option for any local organisation.📍 breakage.

What kind of themes can we choose for the mural?

Youth projects are highly customisable. We can focus on a specific theme, such as "Sustainability," "Community Pride," or "Teamwork." Alternatively, we can let the creativity flow freely with a "Freestyle" session. Many groups choose to create one large collective mural that represents their organisation's values, which is a fantastic way to build a sense of belonging and accomplishment.✨

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. Although we provide full-body protective overalls, graffiti can be unpredictable! For outdoor workshops in Salto’s sunny climate, bringing a hat and some water is also a smart move. We provide everything else, from the paint to the inspiration!👕
