Do I need to be good at drawing to join the workshop?

Absolutely! Most of our guests in Lyon have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists are expert teachers who will guide you through everything from basic nozzle control to advanced layering. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can create something that looks professional. We provide a safe, encouraging environment where mistakes are just part of the creative process. No 'artistic talent' required—just a desire to have a great time!

How do you handle safety and cleanliness indoors?

We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect you from fumes, as well as disposable overalls and gloves to keep your clothes pristine. Our indoor venues in Lyon are selected for their excellent ventilation systems. While the paint is permanent, our protective gear is top-notch, though we still recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you wouldn't mind getting a tiny speck of paint on just in case!

How long does the graffiti experience last?

A standard indoor party workshop in Lyon usually lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule to stick to for your party, we can often adjust the pace to fit your needs. It's the perfect length to stay energised without getting tired!

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

Standard indoor workshops are great for groups of 10 to 50 people, but we are very flexible. For larger corporate groups or massive parties in Lyon, we can arrange 'walk-in' style workshops where people rotate. If you have a very small group, get in touch and we will see how we can accommodate you. The more the merrier when it comes to collaborative street art!

What exactly is included in the price?

Everything is included! Your booking covers the venue hire (if not at your own location), all professional spray paint cans in a rainbow of colours, caps, masks, gloves, overalls, and the canvases or boards you'll be painting on. You also get the dedicated time and expertise of our local Lyon artists. There are no hidden costs—just show up and start spraying!

Do I need to pay a deposit in advance?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'play now, pay later' policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date in Lyon. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop has concluded and everyone is happy. This makes it much easier for party organisers to coordinate budgets without the stress of immediate deposits.

Can we keep the artwork we create?

Yes! Depending on the format we choose, you can often take your individual canvases home with you. For larger team murals, the artwork can be kept by the host or the office. It serves as a fantastic, colourful memento of your celebration in Lyon. We use quick-drying paint, so your art is usually ready to transport shortly after the session ends.

The experience

Why choose an indoor graffiti session for your next Lyon event? It's the perfect mix of urban culture and professional event hosting. Here is why our workshops are the talk of the town:

Weatherproof fun: Don't let the Lyon rain dampen your spirits—our indoor studios keep the vibes hot regardless of the forecast outside. 🌧️
Epic mementos: Forget boring party bags; everyone gets to create and (usually) take home their own piece of authentic street art!
Zero stress: No upfront deposits and a professional team of backup artists means your party is guaranteed to happen. 💪
For everyone: You don't need to be Banksy. Our artists break everything down so your grandma and your teenage nephew will both have a blast.
Central locations: Our Lyon spots are easy to reach, meaning you're never far from the next bar or restaurant to keep the party going. 🥂
Interactive tools: Use our Tag Creator before you arrive to start planning your signature style!

Step by step

Warm welcome: Meet your local Lyon street artist at our indoor studio and get geared up in protective overalls and masks. 🎭
The basics: Learn about the history of graffiti culture and get a crash course in spray can safety and handling.
Lines and fades: Head to your practice station to master the 'thin line', 'fat cap' fills, and smooth colour gradients. 🎨
Sketching: Work with our artists to sketch out your design ideas on paper or directly onto the canvas.
Outline and fill: Start bringing your piece to life, choosing from a massive range of vibrant spray colours.
Refining: Use 'cutting' techniques to sharpen your edges and add those professional-looking highlights. ✨
Final touches: Add your personal 'tag' or signature to the work to claim your masterpiece.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Lyon is a city of two halves: historic Roman ruins and a cutting-edge urban art scene. While most tourists head to the traboules of Vieux Lyon, we take inspiration from the vibrant murals found in the Croix-Rousse district. Known as the 'hill that works', its history of silk weaving has evolved into a canvas for some of France's best street artists. Our indoor workshops channel this local 'Canut' spirit of craftsmanship and rebellion.

Fun Fact: Lyon is home to some of the world's most famous "trompe-l'œil" murals, like the Fresque des Lyonnais. Our artists will show you how these massive works influence the modern graffiti styles you'll be learning today! 🦁

Pricing

Our Lyon indoor graffiti experiences are competitively priced to ensure you get the best bang for your buck. Prices typically range from €30 to €65 per person, depending on your group size, the duration of the session, and the specific venue setup.

Because every party is unique, we don't believe in 'one size fits all' pricing. Whether you're a small group of friends or a massive celebration, we’ll tailor the price to fit your needs. Remember, with us, there's no upfront payment—you pay once the fun is done! 💸
