Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Absolutely! We prioritize safety above all else. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our professional artists are trained to supervise youth groups, ensuring that the spray cans are used correctly and that everyone stays within the designated legal painting zones. It’s a controlled, creative environment where fun and safety go hand-in-hand.

What should the participants wear?

While we provide protective overalls, we always recommend that the kids wear 'old clothes' and trainers that they don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Spray paint is permanent, and while we take every precaution, a stray splash of artistic enthusiasm can happen! Avoid wearing expensive designer gear or brand-new shoes to the session to ensure a stress-free experience.

What if the kids have no artistic experience?

No talent? No problem! Our Lyon youth workshops are specifically designed for beginners. We start with the absolute basics, from how to hold the can to making your first clean line. Our artists guide the group through every step, so even those who think they aren't 'artsy' will walk away with a piece of work they are genuinely proud of.

Can you come to our youth centre or do we travel to you?

We are incredibly flexible. We can host the workshop at one of Lyon's cool legal street art spots, or we can bring the mobile studio to your youth club, sports centre, or community space. We use special canvases or temporary boards if painting on walls isn't an option at your venue. We’ll work with you to find the perfect location.

How long does a typical youth workshop last?

Our standard youth projects usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or a larger community event in mind, we can adapt the duration to fit your needs perfectly.

What happens if it rains on the day?

The weather in Lyon can be unpredictable, but the fun doesn't have to stop! If we are outdoors and it rains, we usually try to move to a covered area or reschedule. However, if you have an indoor space available (like a gym or hall), we can set up our mobile boards and use low-odour professional paint to keep the creative vibes flowing regardless of the clouds.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Lyon? It’s more than just paint on a wall—it’s about empowerment and local connection. 🏆 💪

Creative outlet: Gives young people a voice and a way to express their identity in a positive way.
Focus and patience: Learning can control and layering takes concentration—skills that translate far beyond the wall.
Local pride: Lyon is a street art capital; we help youth feel like they belong to this vibrant culture.
No-risk booking: No upfront payment required—you pay only after the workshop is finished.
Reliable pros: We always have backup artists on standby, so your project never gets cancelled.
Teamwork: Most of our projects involve a large collaborative mural, teaching kids how to work towards a shared goal.

Step by step

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy intro about the history of street art in Lyon and safety essentials.
Sketching the vision: Participants grab paper and pencils to brainstorm their tags and designs before hitting the walls.
Can control 101: Our pros teach the 'no-drip' technique, showing how distance and pressure change the lines.
Outline and fill: The youth start bringing their sketches to life, learning how to fill large areas efficiently.
The 'cut-in' technique: We show them how to sharpen their edges and fix mistakes like a real street artist.
Adding the 'pop': Learn how to use highlights, 3D shadows, and 'force fields' to make the artwork jump off the surface.
The final reveal: A group walkthrough where everyone gets to present their work and take those all-important photos for the 'gram.

Local culture

Lyon isn't just about gourmet food and historical ruins; it’s a living museum of street art! From the iconic murals of Croix-Rousse to the hidden gems in the 7th arrondissement, the city lives and breathes urban creativity. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, often taking place near legendary spots where the kids can feel the history of the movement. 🦁 🇫🇷

Fun Fact: Lyon is home to the famous 'Fresque des Lyonnais', one of the largest mural paintings in Europe, proving that this city has always valued the power of paint on walls!

We love connecting the youth of Lyon with their city's visual identity. By seeing the world-class murals around them and then picking up a can themselves, they feel a deeper connection to their community and their own creative potential.

Pricing

Our pricing is as flexible as our art. Depending on the length of the project, the number of participants, and the location in Lyon, prices generally range between:
