How long does a typical graffiti birthday workshop last?

Most graffiti birthday parties in Lyon last between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of learning time and creative freedom without the kids getting tired. If you have a larger group or want to add a specific mural project, we can extend the session to 3 hours. We always ensure there is a natural flow so the energy levels stay high!

Is the spray paint safe for children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every child to keep their clothes clean. Our spray paints are professional-grade but used under strict supervision by our experienced artists. We always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designed indoor spaces in Lyon to ensure a safe, fun environment for everyone.

Do the kids need any prior drawing or art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our Lyon-based artists are experts at breaking down complex street art techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Whether your child is a budding Picasso or has never held a spray can before, they will leave the session with a piece of art they are truly proud of. It is all about having fun!

What is the ideal age for a graffiti birthday party?

We generally recommend our graffiti parties for children aged 6 and up. At this age, they have the motor skills to handle the spray cans effectively. For younger children, we can adapt the workshop with more stencil work or water-based alternatives, but the sweet spot for a full street art experience is usually between 8 and 14 years old.

Where in Lyon do the workshops take place?

In Lyon, we have several vibrant "legal wall" locations and creative hubs where workshops take place. However, if you have a private backyard or a large driveway with enough ventilation, we can often bring the party to you! We use mobile plastic walls or large canvases to protect your property. Just let us know your preference when booking, and we will find the perfect spot.

What should the children wear to the workshop?

We suggest the kids wear comfortable clothes and old trainers. Even though we provide full protective gear including overalls, a little bit of paint can sometimes find its way onto shoes. It is best to dress in layers so they can stay comfortable while being active. Apart from that, just bring your energy and creativity—we provide everything else!

How much does a graffiti birthday party cost?

The final cost depends on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and the specific location within Lyon. Our prices generally range from €30 to €65 per person. For a precise estimate tailored to your group size and any special requirements, we recommend using our online Cost Calculator or requesting a custom quote through our contact form for the best deal.

Local culture

Lyon isn't just about beautiful gastronomy and historic ruins; it’s a world-class hub for street art. From the massive "Peinture Fraîche" festival to the iconic murals in the Croix-Rousse district, the city breathes creativity. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, letting kids feel like part of the legendary Lyon street art scene.

Fun fact: Lyon is famous for its "trompe-l'oeil" murals, which are so realistic they trick the eye! While we focus on contemporary graffiti styles, the city’s rich history of public art serves as the perfect inspiration for our young artists. 🎨
