Do we need any previous art experience to enjoy the workshop?

Absolutely! Most of our Edinburgh outdoor party guests have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists are expert teachers who specialize in making everyone feel like a pro. We start with the basics—nozzles, pressure, and lines—before moving onto the big stuff. You'll be amazed at what you can create with just a little guidance from our crew. We guarantee a fun, pressure-free environment for all skill levels.

What materials are included in the outdoor party package?

We provide everything you need for a legendary session! This includes high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, professional-grade masks, protective gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. If we are working on a shared wall, that's included, or we can provide individual canvases or boards depending on your party package. Just bring your energy and maybe some old shoes you don't mind getting a bit of 'artistic dust' on!

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor workshop?

Edinburgh's weather is part of its charm, but we don't let a bit of drizzle dampen our spirits! For outdoor parties, we usually have backup plans involving covered outdoor spaces or, if the weather is truly 'haar' (thick fog/rain), we can discuss rescheduling or moving to a ventilated indoor spot. Rest assured, we have backup artists available and a flexible approach to ensure your party happens one way or another.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop session last?

Our standard outdoor party workshops usually run for about 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the completion of a final masterpiece. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive creative session, we can easily extend the duration to 3 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for keeping the energy high and the creativity flowing without getting tired.

Is the spray paint safe to use, and what safety measures are in place?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including FFP2 or FFP3 masks and gloves. Our instructors are professional artists who are well-versed in site safety. Because we are outdoors in the fresh Edinburgh air, ventilation is excellent. We also ensure the working area is kept tidy and secure throughout the entire duration of your event.

What is the minimum and maximum group size for an outdoor party?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you are a small group of friends celebrating a birthday or a massive corporate team-building outdoor bash, we can accommodate you. Small groups of 5-10 get a very personal experience, while for larger groups of 50+, we bring in extra artists to ensure everyone gets hands-on help. There is no real upper limit as long as we have the space and the cans!

Do we need to pay in advance for our Edinburgh street art experience?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'Creative Trust' policy. You don't need to pay a penny upfront to book your Edinburgh outdoor workshop. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop is complete and you're happy with the results. This makes organizing a group event much less stressful, as you don't have to chase everyone for money before the day.

Local culture

Edinburgh might be famous for its medieval architecture and the Fringe, but its street art scene is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. From the massive murals in Leith to the ever-changing walls around Newington, the city is a canvas for those who know where to look. Our workshops tap into this local energy, giving you a chance to contribute to the creative spirit that makes Edinburgh so unique. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Edinburgh has several "legal walls" where artists are encouraged to paint? This keeps the city's street art scene alive and evolving every single day!

Whether we are setting up near the Water of Leith or in a tucked-away urban space, you'll feel the inspiration of the Scottish capital all around you. It’s the perfect backdrop for an outdoor party that breaks the mould of traditional Edinburgh entertainment. 🏰
