Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

No artistic talent is required! Our professional artists specialize in teaching absolute beginners. We start with basic spray can techniques and letter structures, ensuring that everyone in your Edinburgh team feels confident. By the end of the session, even the colleagues who claim they can't draw a stick figure will be proud of the vibrant mural they helped create. It's about collaboration, not fine art.

What should our team wear to the workshop?

We provide all the necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes spray-free. That said, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on just in case. Since we are in Edinburgh, we also advise bringing an extra layer if we are working in a semi-outdoor or ventilated industrial space.

How long does the graffiti workshop typically last?

A standard team development workshop in Edinburgh usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This includes the initial safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of your final team masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or need to fit the workshop between meeting slots, we can easily customize the duration to suit your group's unique itinerary.

Where in Edinburgh do the workshops take place?

We can host workshops at various locations across Edinburgh. We have access to creative industrial spaces, or we can come to your office if you have a suitable outdoor area or a very well-ventilated indoor space. Alternatively, we can set up mobile graffiti walls at a venue of your choice, such as a hotel terrace or a local community space nearby.

Can we keep the graffiti art we create?

Your Edinburgh team gets to keep the artwork! If you paint on individual canvases, everyone can take their piece home or hang them together in the office. If you choose a large collaborative mural on a mobile wall, we can arrange for the panels to be delivered to your headquarters. It serves as a fantastic, colourful reminder of your team's unity and creative spirit.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paint and provide FFP3-rated respiratory masks and gloves for every participant. Our instructors are highly experienced in managing group dynamics and ensuring that the equipment is used correctly. We also ensure the workspace is properly ventilated and set up to prevent any accidents, making it a safe environment for everyone.

Can we incorporate our company values or logo into the mural?

Absolutely! We love incorporating company values, logos, or specific project themes into the session. Before the workshop, we can discuss your goals—whether you want to focus on 'communication', 'innovation', or simply your brand identity. Our artists will then help your team translate these abstract concepts into a visual graffiti masterpiece that resonates with your corporate culture.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next team building day in Edinburgh? It’s simple: it levels the playing field. Whether you're a CEO or an intern, a spray can works the same for everyone. It’s an equalizer that encourages bold communication and out-of-the-box thinking. ✨

Break the Hierarchy: Street art is inherently rebellious and democratic—the perfect way to dissolve office silos.
Tangible Results: Unlike a seminar, you leave with a physical artwork that symbolizes your team's collective effort. 🖼️
Boost Morale: Nothing beats the endorphin rush of creating something large-scale and colourful together.
Unique Skill Building: Your team will learn actual techniques from top-tier artists, not just "corporate games." 🎤
Weatherproof Fun: We have great indoor industrial spaces across Edinburgh, so even the Scottish rain won't stop the fun! ☔
Total Flexibility: We can come to you or host you at one of our cool local partner venues.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: Meet your professional street artist and get kitted out in protective gear. We’ll cover the basics of spray can safety and environmental responsibility.
The Art of the Tag: Learn the history of graffiti before jumping into 'tagging' basics. Use our Tag Creator logic to develop your own unique street art signature.
Can Control 101: Master the spray can! Our artists show you how to control pressure, create thin lines, and master the broad strokes needed for filling.
Concept Brainstorming: Work together to sketch out your team’s vision. Whether it's your company logo or a theme like 'Innovation', this is where the strategy happens.
Outlining & Filling: Move to the wall or canvas. Start by sketching the 'bones' of your piece before filling it with a vibrant explosion of Edinburgh-inspired colours.
Adding the 'Pop': Learn professional tricks like 3D shadowing, highlights, and 'force-fields' to make your team’s artwork truly stand out.
The Fine Tuning: Use 'cutting' techniques to sharpen edges and make the mural look like it was painted by a pro. Our artists stay close by to guide your hand.
The Big Reveal & Photos: Step back and admire the collective masterpiece. We’ll take high-quality team photos that are perfect for your internal newsletter or LinkedIn.
Debrief & Cleanup: A quick wrap-up of what you learned about collaboration and creativity before we handle the cleanup, leaving you with nothing but great memories.

Local culture

Edinburgh isn't just about kilts and castles; it’s a thriving hub for contemporary street art! Areas like Newington and Leith hide some incredible murals that tell the story of the city beyond the Royal Mile. Our workshops tap into this "Auld Reekie" grit and creative flair, allowing your team to feel like part of the local underground art scene. 🎨

Fun Fact: While Edinburgh is famous for its historic architecture, the city hosts several secret "legal walls" where local artists constantly refresh the urban landscape. Our instructors are deeply involved in this local scene, bringing authentic street credibility to your team building event!
