Do I need to be good at drawing to join the workshop?

No artistic experience is needed at all! Our Edinburgh workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists will guide you through every step, from holding the spray can correctly to mastering 'fading' and 'outlining' techniques. You will be amazed at how quickly you can create something that looks professional and stylish. it is all about having fun and trying something new.

What should I wear to the graffiti session?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide high-quality protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be a bit messy, and paint might find its way onto your shoes. Think 'practical and comfy' rather than 'high fashion' so you can move freely while creating your masterpiece in the Athens of the North!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide professional-grade FFP3 masks to protect you from fumes, along with gloves and protective suits. Our artists give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoors to ensure a safe, healthy environment for all participants to enjoy their creative journey.

Are the workshops suitable for children?

Yes! Our standard public workshops are perfect for everyone aged 6 and up. We use specialized low-pressure cans for younger artists, which are easier to control and much less intimidating. It is a fantastic family activity where kids and parents can collaborate on a mural or work on their own individual canvases side-by-side. It is truly an all-ages creative experience.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard Edinburgh graffiti experience usually lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. This gives us enough time for the intro, practicing techniques, and completing a final project. If you are booking for a larger group or a special event like a bachelor party, we can extend the duration to 3 hours to allow for more complex designs and extra 'freestyle' time.

Where in Edinburgh do the workshops take place?

We have several fantastic locations around Edinburgh, ranging from legal street art walls to private studio spaces depending on the weather and your group size. We often use spots near creative hubs like Leith or the city centre. Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you the exact meeting point details. We can also come to a location of your choice for private events!
