Is the graffiti workshop safe for children attending a communion party?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for every communion celebration in Queenstown. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep those nice party clothes clean. Our spray paints are professional-grade but used under the strict supervision of our expert artists. We ensure a well-ventilated outdoor environment or a safe indoor setup so the kids and adults can focus entirely on having a blast.

How long does the graffiti session usually last?

A standard communion graffiti workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a quick intro, practicing basic techniques, and then diving into the main masterpiece. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy levels high without the younger guests getting tired. If you have a larger group or want a more in-depth session, we can easily extend the duration to suit your schedule.

Where in Queenstown can the workshop take place?

We are super flexible! We can host the workshop at a cool outdoor spot in Queenstown, or we can come to your backyard, a rented community hall, or even the hotel where you're holding the reception. As long as we have a bit of space and permission to set up our mobile plastic walls or canvases, we can bring the street art magic directly to your celebration venue.

Do the kids need to have any prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our friendly local artists will guide everyone through the 'sketch to spray' process step-by-step. Whether they are naturally artistic or have never held a spray can before, we guarantee everyone will walk away feeling like a street art pro. It’s all about having a go and expressing your unique personality through colour and design.

What should the guests wear to the graffiti workshop?

We definitely recommend wearing comfortable clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on—just in case! However, we do provide full protective gear, including overalls and gloves, to keep the formal communion outfits safe. Many families choose to have the kids change into 'art clothes' after the formal photos are done so they can really get stuck into the creative process without any worries.

How do I book and what are the payment terms?

Booking is easy and stress-free! Just fill out our online request form or give us a buzz. We’ll provide a custom quote based on your group size and location. The best part? You don't have to pay anything upfront. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is stoked with the result. We also have backup artists ready to go, so your party is never at risk.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your child's communion celebration? Beyond the sheer excitement, it’s a fantastic way to bond and create something tangible. Here is why our workshops are a hit in Queenstown:

Unique memories: It’s not every day you get to spray paint a masterpiece with your aunties and cousins! 🎨
Total inclusion: From the youngest siblings to the grandparents, everyone can contribute to the artwork.
Stress-free for parents: We handle all the setup, cleanup, and instruction. You just enjoy the party.
Take-home art: The final canvas acts as a stunning piece of 'living' memory from the communion day. 🏆
No risk booking: With no upfront costs and backup artists available, your event is in safe hands.
Confidence boost: Kids feel a huge sense of achievement seeing their giant artwork come to life. 💪

Step by step

First contact: Reach out to us with your party date and estimated guest count. We’ll chat about your vision for the day.
Custom design: Our artists can pre-sketch a theme or the guest of honour’s name on a large canvas or mobile wall to get things started.
Gear up: On the day, we arrive at your Queenstown location and suit everyone up in protective gear—safety first, style second!
The basics: Our pro artist gives a high-energy demo on how to handle the cans, control the pressure, and create different effects.
Practice run: Everyone gets a chance to 'tag' their own space and get a feel for the spray paint on a practice surface.
The masterpiece: The whole group works together (or in small teams) to fill the main artwork with vibrant colours and bold patterns.
Final flares: Our artist helps add those professional finishing touches—highlights, outlines, and 'fizz'—to make the art pop.
Photo op: We wrap up with a massive group photo in front of your creation. These make for the best communion thank-you cards!
The reveal: You get to keep the artwork if it's on canvas, or we can safely dismantle our mobile walls, leaving your venue spotless.

Good to know

Our workshops are fully mobile and designed for seamless integration into your party schedule. Here’s what you need to know:

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Queenstown isn't just the adventure capital of the world; it’s a hub of creative energy. While most people think of bungy jumping and skiing, the local street art scene is tucked away in cool corners like Rees Street and Beach Street, where local talents often showcase their flair. Taking a graffiti communion party in Queenstown allows your family to tap into that same 'brave and bold' spirit that defines Central Otago.

Fun Fact: Did you know Queenstown actually has several 'legal' walls and community art projects designed to keep the town looking vibrant and creative? It's the perfect environment to inspire the next generation of Kiwi artists!

Whether you're celebrating near the shores of Lake Wakatipu or at a venue in Frankton, the Alpine air and creative vibes make for an unbeatable atmosphere. We bring that Queenstown 'send-it' attitude to every workshop, ensuring your communion party is as spectacular as the surrounding scenery. 🏔️
