What exactly is live painting and how does it work?

Live painting is essentially performance art! A professional Graffitifun artist arrives at your Horsens venue and creates a large-scale piece of graffiti or street art from scratch while your guests watch. It adds a dynamic, evolving visual element to the party. You can choose the theme, colours, or even have us incorporate your company logo. It’s a brilliant way to keep people engaged and talking throughout the event.

How much space do you need for a performance in Horsens?

Ideally, we need a flat space of about 3x3 metres, but we are very flexible! We can paint on mobile wooden walls, stretched canvas, or even plastic wrap (cellograff) if you want a transparent look. We bring all the materials, including drop cloths to protect the floor. Whether your event is at the Forum Horsens or a private backyard, we’ll make the setup work perfectly for the space.

Is it safe to do live painting indoors?

Safety is our middle name (not really, it's Graffitifun, but you get it!). We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paint. If your event is indoors, we can use water-based acrylic markers or special low-solvent paints, and we always ensure there is adequate ventilation. We also provide floor protection to ensure the venue stays exactly as we found it—apart from the beautiful new art, of course!

Can our guests join in and try spraying too?

Absolutely! While the artist does the heavy lifting, we love it when guests get involved. We can set up a 'guest zone' where people can add a few strokes or tags under our guidance. It’s a fantastic icebreaker and makes the final artwork a true collaborative memory of your Horsens gathering. Just let us know in advance if you want this interactive element!

How long does a typical live painting performance last?

A standard live painting session usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the complexity of the design. We usually arrive an hour early to set up and stay a bit after to tidy up. If you have a multi-day festival in Jutland, we can also spread the creation over several days to keep the excitement building for your visitors.

What happens to the artwork once the event is over?

You keep the art! Once the spray paint is dry, the canvas or wooden panels are yours to display. Many of our Horsens clients hang the finished piece in their offices, community centres, or homes as a permanent reminder of the event. If you don't have space for it, just let us know, and we can handle the disposal or donation of the piece.

How much does it cost to book an artist in Horsens?

Because every event in Horsens is unique, our pricing varies based on the duration, material costs, and the complexity of the design. Generally, prices range from kr200 to kr450 per person if calculated as a group activity, but for live performances, we usually provide a flat project fee. We don't require upfront payments, and we always provide a clear, no-obligation quote first!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Horsens has successfully transformed from a traditional industrial town into a vibrant cultural hub in Jutland. Known for hosting massive concerts and events at the Fængslet (the former state prison), the city has a unique "edge" that perfectly matches the aesthetics of street art. We love the local energy, from the bustling atmosphere of Sondergade to the creative initiatives popping up around the harbour area.

Fun Fact: Did you know Horsens is home to some of the biggest cultural events in Denmark? The city’s history of "thinking big" makes it the perfect stage for large-scale live art performances that demand attention!

When we bring live painting to Horsens, we draw inspiration from this blend of historical grit and modern creativity. Whether your event is in a sleek modern office or a rustic industrial space, our graffiti adds that authentic urban touch that resonates with the local culture.
