Do we need any previous art experience to join the workshop?

Absolutely! Most of our university participants in Horsens have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics—safety, nozzle control, and simple lines—before moving on to more complex techniques. We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where everyone can feel like a pro by the end of the session. It's all about the experience and having a blast!

What materials are included in the Horsens university workshop?

We provide everything you need to create your masterpiece! This includes high-quality spray cans in a huge range of colours, protective overalls, gloves, and respiratory masks for safety. We also bring the canvases or mobile graffiti walls. Just make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on, just in case!

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard university workshop in Horsens usually lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history and safety intro, a practice session on techniques, and the final creation of your large-scale piece. We can also customise the duration to fit into your specific student event schedule or orientation week timetable.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for students and staff?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We use high-quality, low-odour paints whenever possible and provide professional-grade protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our artists are highly experienced in managing groups and ensuring everyone follows safety protocols. Because we work outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces, you can enjoy the creative process with total peace of mind.

How much does a workshop cost for a large student group?

The final cost depends on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the location in Horsens. Generally, prices range from kr200 to kr450 per person. We are very transparent with our pricing and offer great value for university groups. Since no upfront payment is required, it's easy to book—just request a custom quote for your specific group size.

Can you host the workshop directly on our Horsens campus?

Yes! Horsens has some great spots, but if you have a specific campus location in mind, we can usually make it work. We use mobile graffiti walls that can be set up almost anywhere outdoors. If the weather is typically Danish (unpredictable!), we have backup plans and indoor-safe options to ensure your event goes ahead without a hitch. We're all about flexibility!

Can we choose a specific theme or use our university colours?

Definitely. We love combining your university's identity with street art. Whether it's a specific theme like 'Sustainability,' 'Innovation,' or simply incorporating your faculty colours and logo, our artists will help your group design a piece that reflects your campus culture. It's a fantastic way to create a lasting memory of your time at university in Horsens.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your university event in Horsens? Because sitting in a café is fine, but painting a 10-metre wall together is legendary. Check out why we're the top choice for students: 🔥

Total stress relief: Nothing beats the 'psshhh' of a spray can for clearing your head after exams!
Epic team bonding: Move past the awkward icebreakers and actually build something cool with your classmates.
No skills? No problem: Our pro artists make sure even the least 'artsy' person creates something they're proud of.

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: Meet our pro artists and get a quick crash course on the history of street art and the 'rules' of the game.
Safety first: Get geared up in your protective suits, gloves, and masks. Learn how to handle the cans like a pro.
Nozzle knowledge: Practice with different 'caps' to see how they change your lines, from thin outlines to fat fills.
Sketching the vision: Use our interactive Tag Creator or grab a marker to outline your group's master plan on the wall.
The first layer: Start filling in your shapes. Our artists will show you how to blend colours and create smooth gradients.
Defining the piece: Learn the secret of 'cutting' and outlining to make your graffiti pop off the background.
Final flourishes: Add those 'wow' details like shines, shadows, and bubbles to give your work that professional street edge.
The big reveal: Step back, snap some photos for the 'gram, and admire the massive piece of art you've created with your mates!

Local culture

Horsens might be famous for its massive concerts and the historic prison, but its street art scene is quietly becoming one of the coolest in Jutland. From the hidden murals near the harbour to the creative energy found around the campus areas, there's inspiration around every corner. We love bringing the urban vibe of larger cities like Aarhus and Copenhagen to the local Horsens student community.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the Horsens State Prison (Fængslet) now hosts some of the most unique cultural festivals in Denmark? It’s exactly that kind of 'industrial-meets-creative' vibe that makes Horsens the perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop! 🏰✨
