How long does a live painting session usually last?

A live painting performance in Tavua typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the scale of the artwork and your event schedule. We can also provide 'speed painting' sessions for high-energy transitions or multi-day mural activations for larger festivals. Our artists work with your timeline to ensure the 'big reveal' happens exactly when you want it to, creating maximum impact for your guests.

Is the spray paint safe for indoor events?

Safety is our top priority! We use high-quality, low-odour professional spray paints and acrylic markers. For indoor events in Tavua, we can provide specific water-based paints that have minimal fumes. We also bring floor protection and ventilation equipment if needed, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both the artist and your guests while the creative magic happens right before their eyes.

Can the artist include our brand logo or a specific theme?

Absolutely! One of the best parts about hiring Graffitifun is the customisation. You can provide us with your company logo, a specific colour palette, or a theme (like Fijian landscapes or modern tech vibes). The artist will then weave these elements into a unique, professional piece of street art. It’s a brilliant way to reinforce your brand or event theme in a memorable and artistic way.

What happens to the artwork after the event ends?

What happens to the painting afterwards is entirely up to you! Most of our Tavua clients choose to keep the final masterpiece to display in their office, shop, or home. We paint on high-quality stretched canvases or mobile wooden panels that are easy to transport and hang. It’s a permanent memory of a fantastic event that continues to inspire long after the party is over.

Do I need to provide any materials for the artist?

No, you don't need to provide anything other than a flat space to work and a bit of lighting! We bring all the professional supplies, including drop cloths, masking tape, premium spray cans, and the canvas itself. If the event is outdoors or at night, we just ask for access to a power point for our lights. We handle the entire set-up and clean-up, leaving you to enjoy the show.

How far in advance should I book a live painter?

We recommend booking your Tavua live painting performance at least 3 to 6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend events or during peak festival seasons. However, thanks to our large network of artists and backup specialists, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. If you have a sudden event popping up, reach out to us and we’ll do our absolute best to make it happen!

Engagement booster: Guests naturally gravitate towards the sound of a spray can and the smell of creativity, creating an instant focal point. ✨
Fully bespoke: We don't just paint anything; we paint *your* story, incorporating your colours, logo, or local Tavua themes. 🎨
Instagrammable moments: The 'work-in-progress' shots and the final reveal are gold for social media engagement. 🔥
Professional & clean: We handle all the prep and mess, so you get the 'wow' factor without the cleanup stress. 💪
Lasting legacy: When the party's over, you’re left with a high-quality canvas mural for your home or office. 🏆

Step by step

Initial consultation: We chat about your event in Tavua, the vibe you're going for, and any specific branding requirements you have.
Design concept: Our artist creates a rough sketch or mood board based on your theme, ensuring we're perfectly aligned before the first drop of paint hits the canvas.
Logistics planning: We coordinate with your venue manager in Tavua to handle floor protection, ventilation, and the best placement for maximum visibility.
The setup: On the day, our team arrives early to set up the 'stage'—preparing the canvas and organising the palette of colours.
Live performance begins: As your guests arrive, the artist starts the piece. People love watching the blank surface evolve into a complex work of art.
Audience interaction: If you'd like, our artists can engage with the crowd, explaining the techniques and the story behind the mural.
The final reveal: The artwork is completed towards the end of your event, creating a stunning high-point and a perfect photo opportunity.
Post-event care: We ensure the paint is dry and ready for transport, or we can arrange for the artwork to be delivered to your office later.

Local culture

Tavua is a town known for its hardworking spirit and its proximity to the iconic Gold Mine. This unique industrial backdrop provides the perfect inspiration for edgy, modern street art. We love bringing our live painting performances to this part of Fiji, where the community truly appreciates the craft and effort that goes into a large-scale project. Whether we are painting near the town centre or at a private resort nearby, the 'Gold Town' vibe always adds a special sparkle to our work.

Fun fact: Tavua was originally established as a gold mining town in the 1930s! Our artists often pay homage to this history by incorporating metallic golds and earthy tones into murals for local events, blending the town's rich heritage with contemporary urban style.
