Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all the necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and overalls. Our artist trainers are experienced in working with primary school children and use water-based or low-solvent sprays when appropriate. We conduct a safety briefing at the start of every session to ensure every child knows how to handle the equipment responsibly while having a blast.

Can you host the workshop directly at our school in Ventspils?

Yes, we are fully mobile! While Ventspils has some fantastic spots, we can bring the entire graffiti studio to your school playground or a local community space. We handle all the setup, including protective flooring and professional graffiti boards, so your school grounds stay exactly as they were—just with a lot more creative energy flowing through the air for the day!

Do the kids get to take something home after the workshop?

Each child gets to work on their own section of a large mural, and often they can take home a smaller individual canvas or piece of work they have created. It’s a wonderful way for them to have a physical memento of their day as a street artist. These canvases look amazing displayed in a school hallway or used as decoration in their bedrooms!

How long does a typical school session last?

Our primary school workshops in Ventspils typically last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This timeframe is the 'sweet spot' for younger students—it’s long enough to learn the techniques and complete a masterpiece, but short enough to keep their focus and energy levels peaking throughout the entire creative process. We can also adapt the timing to fit your specific school timetable.

Do the students need any prior drawing or painting skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Whether a child is naturally artistic or thinks they 'can't draw,' they will be amazed at what they can achieve with a spray can. We focus on 'expression over perfection,' ensuring every student feels a massive sense of pride.

What is your booking and payment policy for schools?

We believe in the power of the experience, which is why we offer a 'fun guaranteed' approach. You don't need to pay anything upfront. We are so confident your students will love the workshop that you only pay after the event is completed. Plus, we always have backup artists available to ensure your scheduled event in Ventspils goes ahead no matter what.

Can we choose a specific theme for the graffiti mural?

Our workshops are incredibly flexible! We can focus on teamwork, where the kids collaborate on one giant Ventspils-themed mural, or we can focus on individual expression. We often tie our sessions into school themes, such as 'The Environment,' 'Our City,' or 'Friendship.' Just let us know your goals, and we will tailor the creative brief to match your curriculum perfectly.

The experience

A graffiti workshop isn't just about paint; it's about building bridges between traditional education and modern urban culture. Here is why Ventspils schools love working with us:

Confidence boost: Nothing beats the thrill of seeing a large-scale artwork come to life, helping kids feel capable and brave. 🚀
Total inclusivity: Street art doesn't care if you're "good" at drawing—it’s about energy and expression, making it perfect for every child. 🌈
Teamwork in action: Our mural projects require students to communicate and collaborate to create something bigger than themselves. 🤝
Professional mentors: Our artists are real-world professionals who provide positive role models for creative careers. 🏆
Stress-free for teachers: We handle the setup, the mess, and the pack-down. You just bring the kids and enjoy the show! ☕
Zero risk booking: With no upfront payment and backup artists ready to go, your school event is in safe hands. 💪

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy look at street art history and show the kids some amazing local examples from Ventspils and beyond.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out in protective gear and learns the 'golden rules' of using spray cans safely and respectfully.
Mastering the 'Can': Our artists demonstrate basic techniques—how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create different line widths.
Sketching the vision: Before the paint flies, students brainstorm their ideas and sketch out their designs on paper to plan their masterpiece.
First strokes: The kids move to the boards to apply their base colours, learning how to fill large areas quickly and evenly.
Adding the 'Pop': We teach them how to add outlines, highlights, and those cool 'drips' that make graffiti art really stand out.
The final flourish: Students add their unique 'tag' or signature to their work, claiming their piece of the Ventspils street art scene.
Group gallery: We finish with a celebration of everyone's work, taking photos and discussing the creative choices each student made.

Local culture

Ventspils isn't your average city; it’s a place where creativity is built into the landscape, from the famous Cow Parade sculptures to the beautifully landscaped parks. Our workshops tap into this local love for public art, encouraging Ventspils students to think about how they can contribute to the visual identity of their own community. We often take inspiration from the Baltic Sea nearby, using blues and sandy tones to reflect the local environment in our designs. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Ventspils is home to over 20 massive cow sculptures? Our graffiti workshops often challenge students to think of what a 'Street Art Cow' might look like if they were the lead designers! 🐄✨
