Do students need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! Most university students in Krasnoyarsk have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics, from how to shake the can to controlling the pressure. We provide a safe, supportive environment where the focus is on creativity and 'having a go' rather than perfection. You'll be amazed at what you can create by the end of the session!

How long does a typical university workshop last?

The standard university workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their 'tags' on trial boards, and then work together on a large-scale mural or individual canvases. We can also adapt the schedule to fit between lectures or as part of a larger campus festival if you need a shorter format.

What safety gear is provided for the students?

We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to ensure everyone stays clean and safe. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and we always prefer to work in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or large indoor halls with proper airflow. Our instructors are also trained to manage groups safely while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed.

How does the payment process work?

The best part is that you don't pay anything upfront! In Krasnoyarsk, we operate on a trust-based system where you only pay after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are 100% happy with the experience we've delivered. We want the booking process to be as stress-free as possible for student unions and university administrators.

Can you host the workshop on our university campus?

We can bring the street art experience right to your campus in Krasnoyarsk! Whether it's a car park, a courtyard, or a sports hall, we are mobile. If you don't have a suitable space, just let us know. we have access to various creative locations across the city where we can host your group. We’re flexible and happy to work around your university’s logistics.

What happens if an instructor can't make it?

Yes, we have a deep bench of talented graffiti artists in the region. One of the unique things about Graffitifun is our 'no-cancellation guarantee'. If your assigned artist falls ill or has an emergency, we have backup artists ready to step in so your university event goes ahead exactly as planned. Your schedule is safe with us!

The experience

True Collaboration: Watch as different departments and social circles merge to create one massive, cohesive mural. 🤝
Instagram Gold: These workshops provide incredible photo opportunities that will make your university's social media feed pop. 📸
No Experience Needed: Our artists are experts at guiding absolute beginners to professional-looking results. 🏆

Step by step

Introduction & safety briefing: We kick things off with a quick intro to the history of street art and a vital safety rundown—masks on, everyone!
Mastering the nozzle: Learn the 'finger-pressure' technique. Our pros show you how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Sketching the vision: Grab some paper and pencils to map out your design. Whether it's a university mascot or a message of unity, we help you plan it first.
Practice runs: Head to the practice boards to get a feel for the spray. This is where you find your rhythm and lose the 'first-timer' nerves.
Outline and fill: Move to the main canvas or wall. Start with the 'bones' of your piece before filling in the vibrant colours.
Shadows and highlights: This is where the magic happens! We'll teach you how to add 3D depth and 'pop' using highlights and shadow layers.
Final outlines: Tighten up the edges with a sharp black or white outline to make the student artwork really stand out.
The big reveal: Step back, take some photos for the 'gram, and admire the collective masterpiece your university team has created.

Local culture

Krasnoyarsk has a unique relationship with art—stretching from the traditional mastery found in its galleries to the rugged, industrial charm of its urban landscape. The city’s street art scene is growing, reflecting the bold spirit of Siberia. When we host a workshop here, we tap into that local grit and creativity, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the Yenisei River and the surrounding Stolby peaks. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Krasnoyarsk is often called the 'City of Fountains'? While those are beautiful, we think the city looks even better with a touch of student-led street art to brighten up the urban grey! 🚀
