Do we need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! We love working with beginners. Most university students have never touched a spray can before, and that is where the magic happens. Our professional artists guide you through every step, from basic nozzle control to complex shading. By the end of the session, you will be amazed at what you and your friends have created on the wall. It is all about the process and having a blast!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard university graffiti workshop in Leipzig typically lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, some practice runs on the 'training wall,' and the completion of a large-scale collective masterpiece. If you are planning a massive campus-wide event, we can also set up 'walk-in' stations that run for the entire afternoon to accommodate more students.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything! Your booking includes high-quality spray cans in a huge variety of colours, protective gloves, masks, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also bring the boards or canvases if there isn't a permanent wall available. All you need to bring is your energy, some comfortable old shoes, and perhaps a bit of creative inspiration from your studies!

Is the paint dangerous or messy?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes, along with nitrile gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially vented indoor spaces. Our instructors are also trained to manage groups safely, ensuring everyone keeps a respectful distance while spraying and follows proper tool handling procedures.

How does the payment process work?

We are extremely flexible! We don't require any upfront payment or deposits to secure your date. You can pay after the workshop is completed via invoice or on-site. We understand that university budgets and student union approvals can sometimes take time, so we make the administrative side as stress-free as possible for you. Fun first, paperwork later!

What happens if it rains on the day of our event?

Leipzig weather can be unpredictable, but we always have a plan B. If the forecast looks rainy, we can often move the session to a covered outdoor spot or an indoor location using low-odour water-based paints. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we almost never have to cancel a booking. Your event will go ahead, rain or shine!

Can we take our artwork home with us?

Of course! While we love creating large murals, we can also arrange for students to spray individual canvases or even tote bags that they can take back to their dorms. This is a popular option for freshers' week events where students want a souvenir of their first few days in Leipzig. Just let us know your preference when requesting your quote.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university social in Leipzig? It is more than just spray painting; it is about building connections outside the library. Here is why it's a win-win for students:

Stress Relief: There is nothing quite like the hiss of a spray can to help you forget about upcoming exams and deadlines. 🔥
Collective Creativity: Work together on a massive piece that represents your squad, your course, or your values.
Instagram Gold: Create the ultimate backdrop for your social feeds—our workshops are incredibly photogenic! 📸
Zero Barrier to Entry: You don't need to be an 'artist' to participate; we break everything down into easy, fun steps.
Mobile & Flexible: Whether you're in Leipzig, Berlin, or Hamburg, we bring the art to you.
Total Freedom: Unlike a structured seminar, here you have the freedom to experiment with colours and styles as you wish. 🎤

Step by step

Select your crew: Gather your fellow students, society members, or your entire faculty department for a creative day out.
Pick your spot: We can host the workshop at one of Leipzig's legal graffiti walls or bring mobile walls directly to your campus.
Design session: Work with our artists to brainstorm a theme—maybe something related to your degree or a message of campus unity.
Safety first: Suit up in our provided protective gear and listen to the briefing on spray can techniques and nozzle types.
Practice strokes: Get a feel for the pressure of the can by practicing lines, dots, and fades on a trial surface.
Outline the vision: Our artists help you sketch the "skeleton" of your mural onto the main wall using light colours.
Fill and flow: This is the fun part! Start layering the colours and bringing the collective design to life with vibrant fills.
The finishing touches: Add highlights, sharp outlines, and "second outlines" to make the artwork pop and look professional.
The big reveal: Step back, snap some photos for the University Instagram, and admire the masterpiece you created together!

Local culture

Leipzig—often dubbed 'The New Berlin'—is a playground for urban explorers and art lovers. From the industrial charm of the Plagwitz district to the sprawling canvases found at the Werk 2 cultural centre, the city breathes street art. Our workshops tap into this local 'Leipziger' spirit, allowing students to contribute to the city's ever-changing visual landscape. We often host sessions near the iconic Karl-Heine-Straße or at dedicated 'Hall of Fame' spots where the air smells of fresh paint and creativity.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Leipzig is home to some of the largest mural projects in East Germany? The city’s history is literally written on its walls, making it an incredible classroom for aspiring street artists! ✨
