Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! Our Rhodes youth project sessions are designed precisely for beginners. Most participants have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics—safety, nozzle control, and line work—before moving on to more complex techniques. We foster a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable experimenting and making mistakes, as that's how the best street art is often born!

What safety measures do you have in place for youth projects?

We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. We use professional-grade spray paint with low-pressure valves, which are much easier for younger hands to control. Additionally, our workshops are always held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated street art zones to ensure maximum airflow and comfort.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard youth project workshop in Rhodes typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction to graffiti history, a practice session on our 'try-out' walls, and the completion of a final group masterpiece or individual canvases. We can adjust the duration to fit into your specific schedule or curriculum requirements if needed.

What should the participants wear?

We recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable trainers that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide full-body protective overalls, paint can sometimes find its way onto shoes or sleeves during the creative process. Rhodes can get quite warm, so light, breathable fabrics are best, but do ensure you have sun protection if we are working outdoors.

Can you host the workshop at our own location in Rhodes?

Yes, we are fully mobile! While we have preferred locations near the Rhodes town centre, we can bring the entire graffiti experience to your youth club, school grounds, or community centre. All we need is a suitable outdoor space or a very well-ventilated indoor area with permission to paint. We handle all the setup and the cleanup afterwards!

What happens if the artist is unavailable?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We have a large team of backup artists available across Greece, including the Rhodes region. This means that if an artist falls ill, we have a network ready to step in. Your youth project is in safe hands, and we pride ourselves on never having to cancel an event.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Rhodes? Because street art is the universal language of the youth! It breaks down barriers and gets everyone involved. 🚀

Boost Confidence: There's nothing like seeing your own 3-metre tall artwork to make a young person feel like they can take on the world. 💪
Team Building: Mural painting requires communication and collaboration—the perfect recipe for bonding a group.
Safe Expression: We teach the difference between vandalism and street art, encouraging legal and respectful creativity.
No Skills Required: Our 'no-fail' method ensures every participant creates something they are proud of, regardless of their artistic background. 🏆
Unique Rhodes Experience: Forget boring classroom sessions; give them a day they’ll actually want to post on Instagram!

Step by step

Intro and history: We kick things off with a high-energy look at the history of street art and how it evolved from NYC subways to the galleries of Europe.
Safety first: Every participant gets kitted out with professional masks, gloves, and overalls. We explain the 'rules of the road' for using spray cans responsibly.
Mastering the lines: Before hitting the big wall, we practice basic techniques: thin lines, fat caps, dots, and fades on practice boards.
The big reveal: Our artists present the themed concept for the day, or we brainstorm a collective vision that represents your youth group's identity.
Sketching the flow: Participants help sketch the 'piece' using chalk or light paint, learning about proportions and letter structure.
Fill-in and colour: This is where the magic happens! Everyone grabs their cans to fill in the design with vibrant, sun-drenched Mediterranean colours.
Outlining and details: Under the guidance of our pros, participants add the sharp outlines and 'highlights' that make the artwork pop.
The finishing touch: We add 'shine' effects and background elements to tie the whole mural together into a professional-looking masterpiece.
Photo finish: We wrap up with a group photo in front of the art—a perfect moment for social media and a lasting memory of your time in Rhodes.

Local culture

Rhodes is a city where ancient history meets modern sunshine. While the medieval Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the youth culture here is vibrant and looking for contemporary ways to express itself. By bringing street art to Rhodes, we are acknowledging the island's long history of public art—from ancient mosaics to modern-day murals. We often find inspiration in the island's unique light and the deep blues of the Aegean Sea. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that the Colossus of Rhodes was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World? Today, we might not be building 33-metre bronze statues, but we are building massive murals that celebrate the spirit of the island's next generation! 🏛️
