Why choose us in Wellington?
Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next Wellington team day? Because high-performing teams are built on shared experiences and creative problem-solving. Here’s why it works: ✨
- Level the playing field: The CEO and the intern are both beginners with a spray can—it's a great equaliser! 💪
- Boost communication: Planning a large-scale mural requires real-time coordination and clear communication.
- Unleash hidden talent: You’ll be stoked to see which quiet team members turn out to be secret street art legends.
- Tangible results: You get a physical piece of art to hang in the office as a reminder of what you achieved together. 🏆
- Zero stress booking: With no upfront payment and backup artists ready to go, your event is in safe hands.
How it works
- Intro and safety: We kick things off with a high-energy intro and a quick safety yarns to make sure everyone knows how to handle the gear properly.
- Demonstration: Watch a pro artist break down the anatomy of a graffiti piece, from 'caps' to 'fades' and 'outlines'.
- Tagging practice: Every team member gets their own space to practice their 'tag' and get a feel for the pressure of the spray can.
- Concept brainstorming: Your team works together to sketch out a concept that represents your company values or team goals.
- The big build: We move to the large boards where the team starts sketching the main design using light colours.
- Filling and blending: This is where the magic happens! Team members collaborate to add vibrant colours and 3D effects.
- The outline: Our pros help you sharpen the edges to make your artwork pop against the background.
- Final reveal and photos: We step back to admire the masterpiece, take some epic team photos, and celebrate the win.

Do we need any previous art experience to participate?
Absolutely! Our Wellington team development workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists guide you through every step, from basic can control to complex layering. You don't need to be 'artistic' to have a blast and contribute to the final masterpiece. It's all about stepping out of your comfort zone and learning a new skill alongside your workmates in a relaxed environment.
Is the spray paint safe and what protective gear is provided?
Safety is our top priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control and much safer for indoor or outdoor use. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas, and our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can.
How long does a typical team development session last?
Most of our Wellington team sessions last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives your team enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their individual 'tags', and then collaborate on a large-scale project. We can shorten or extend the duration to fit your specific schedule or conference itinerary if needed—just let us know what works for you!
Where in Wellington do these workshops take place?
We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our partner street art locations in Wellington, or we can bring the entire setup to your office carpark or a local park. If you have an indoor space with great ventilation, we can even set up plastic shielding to protect the floors and walls. We make it easy for you.
What should our team wear on the day?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on (just in case!). While we provide full overalls, it's best to be practical. If we are working outdoors, remember to bring a jacket—Wellington weather is famous for changing its mind every five minutes! We provide everything else including paint and boards.
Do we need to pay a deposit to secure our booking?
One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no stress' booking policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront. We trust our clients and want you to feel confident in the experience. You simply pay via invoice after the workshop is completed and your team is buzzing from their creative session. It makes the approval process much easier for your finance department!
What happens if it rains on the day of our event?
Rain is no problem in the 'Windy City'. We always have a 'Plan B'. If your workshop is scheduled outdoors and the weather turns, we can often move to a covered location or provide a marquee setup. Alternatively, we can use our indoor-safe techniques if your venue allows. We also have backup artists ready to go so your event never gets cancelled.
