Do we need to have any artistic skills to participate?

Absolutely not! Our Palmerston North team development workshops are designed for everyone, from stick-figure experts to secret Picassos. Our professional artists guide you through every technique, starting with basic lines and moving to 3D effects. You'll be amazed at how quickly your team picks it up. It’s all about the collaborative process and having a laugh together while trying something completely outside the corporate norm. ✨

Will we get paint on our clothes?

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and masks for every participant. While our spray paints are professional-grade, we use low-odour options where possible. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old sneakers just in case, but our gear does a great job of keeping your office attire pristine while you unleash your inner street artist! 🛡️

Where in Palmerston North do the workshops take place?

We’re flexible! We have various locations around Palmy, or we can bring the entire setup to your office carpark or a local park if permits allow. We use specialized mobile graffiti walls that can be set up almost anywhere. If the Manawatu weather decides to turn, we have indoor-safe options using water-based markers or canvas-based sessions that keep the creative vibes flowing without the rain. 🌦️

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard team development session usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives your crew enough time to learn the basics, practice their "tag," and then work together on a large-scale masterpiece. We can easily adjust the timing to fit into your conference schedule or make it a full-day deep dive into team dynamics and street art culture. ⏱️

Can we incorporate our company values or logo into the art?

Definitely. In fact, we encourage it! We can pre-sketch your company logo, a specific project theme, or your core values onto the wall. Your team then works together to bring those concepts to life with vibrant colours and bold styles. It’s a powerful way to literally 'see' your company mission through a fresh, creative lens. 🎨

Is it a competitive or collaborative activity?

We focus on 'team-building' rather than 'team-breaking'! While there can be a friendly edge of competition, most of our Palmerston North workshops focus on collaboration. Teams have to communicate to ensure their individual sections blend into a cohesive mural. It’s a fantastic way to break down silos and get different departments working toward a single, colourful goal. 🤝

What happens if we need to cancel or change our date?

We understand that corporate plans can change. That's why we offer a 'no upfront payment' policy—you pay after the workshop is complete. We also have a pool of backup artists ready to go, ensuring that even if an instructor is unwell, your event in Palmy will proceed exactly as planned. We’re all about stress-free booking! ✅

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next team day in Palmerston North? Because "trust falls" are so 2010! Here’s why your crew will love it:

Level the playing field: In front of a blank wall, there are no hierarchies—just artists with spray cans. 🎤
Boost creative confidence: Watch your team go from "I can't draw" to "Look at this masterpiece" in under two hours. ✨
Visualise your goals: There’s no better way to see your company mission than in 6-foot tall, 3D neon letters. 🔥
Stress relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the hiss of a can and the flow of colour. 🧘‍♂️
Tangible results: You’ll have a massive piece of art (or individual canvases) to hang in the office as a permanent reminder of the day. 🏆
Zero risk booking: With no upfront payment and guaranteed backup artists, your event is in safe hands. 💪

Step by step

Warm-up & intro: We start with a high-energy intro into the history of street art and a safety briefing to get everyone comfortable.
Concept sketching: Your team brainstorms ideas or focuses on your company values to create a rough visual plan on paper.
Can control basics: Our pros teach you the "spray-paint handshake"—learning how to control pressure, distance, and angles. 🎨
The 'tag' practice: Everyone gets their own space to practice their signature style and get the feel for the paint flow.
Outline & fill: We move to the main event! The team starts sketching the large-scale mural and filling in the base colours.
Shading & highlights: This is where the magic happens. We teach you how to add 3D effects, "bubbles," and light pops.
The final cut: Use black or white outlines to make the piece "pop" and look professional. 🔥
Group debrief: We step back, admire the masterpiece, and discuss how the collaboration mirror's your team's everyday success.
