What is the minimum age for a graffiti birthday party?

We suggest a minimum age of 7 or 8 years old. At this age, kids generally have the hand strength to press the spray nozzles and the focus to follow the artist's instructions. We use high-quality, low-pressure cans that are easier for smaller hands to manage, ensuring every child feels like a pro and walks away with a masterpiece they are proud of!

Do the kids need any prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our professional street artists specialize in teaching beginners. We start with the absolute basics—how to hold the can, distance from the wall, and basic line work. By the end of the session, even the kids who claim they 'can't draw a stick figure' will have created a vibrant, authentic piece of graffiti art. It's all about fun and expression!

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including masks, gloves, and ponchos to keep clothes clean. Our spray paints are professional-grade but used in a controlled, outdoor, or well-ventilated environment. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free experience for parents and a blast for the kids.

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

We understand that Kiwi weather can be unpredictable! For parties in Palmerston North, we always discuss backup dates or indoor/covered venue options during the booking process. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we are incredibly flexible and will do everything possible to ensure the party goes ahead rain or shine without any stress for you.

How long does the graffiti workshop actually last?

A standard kids' birthday workshop usually lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of learning techniques, practicing on practice boards, and completing their final masterpiece. It’s long enough for them to fully immerse themselves in the street art culture but short enough to keep their energy levels high and their attention spans engaged throughout.

Do I need to pay a deposit when booking?

We are all about transparency and trust. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your Palmerston North party. We believe in the quality of our workshops so much that you only pay after the event is finished and you’re 100% satisfied with the experience. It’s a hassle-free way to organize a birthday without any financial risk!

Local culture

Palmerston North might be known as the 'Knowledge City', but it’s also got a killer creative pulse. From the vibrant murals hiding in the George Street alleyways to the huge artworks near the Central Energy Trust Arena, Palmy is a hidden gem for street art lovers. We draw inspiration from the local Manawatū landscape and the city's growing urban art scene to keep our workshops fresh and relevant. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Palmerston North hosts various street art initiatives that have transformed old utility boxes and blank walls into local landmarks? We love bringing that same community spirit to your private birthday party!
