Do I need any prior art experience to join?

No experience? No worries, mate! Most of our workshop participants in Palmerston North have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists are there to guide you through every step, from basic nozzle control to advanced layering techniques. We focus on fun and creativity, so there's absolutely no pressure to be the next Banksy. Just bring your enthusiasm and we will handle the rest!

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

The safety of our 'Palmy' participants is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. We also use professional-grade spray paint in well-ventilated outdoor or indoor spaces. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone learns how to handle the equipment properly while having a blast.

What should I wear and bring to the event?

Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on—though we do provide protective overalls! Closed-toe shoes are a must for safety. Other than that, just bring yourself and your creative energy. We provide all the professional spray cans, caps, legal wall space or canvases, and safety equipment needed for a world-class street art experience.

Where in Palmerston North does the workshop take place?

We are flexible! We can host workshops at various vibrant locations around Palmerston North, or we can bring the mobile street art experience directly to your venue, school, or office. We handle all the logistics and setup, ensuring the site is protected and left clean. Whether it's a local park or your courtyard, we make the magic happen.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard cultural graffiti workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule for a festival or corporate event, we can easily tailor the duration to fit your needs perfectly.

How does the 'no upfront payment' policy work?

We believe in keeping things stress-free. You don't have to pay anything upfront when booking your Palmerston North workshop. Our policy is 'pay after the workshop'—we want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the experience first. This reflects our commitment to quality and ensuring every group has an unforgettable creative session.

Can we book this for a private party or school group?

Absolutely! While this page focuses on cultural events, we regularly host workshops for schools, stag and hen do's, kids' birthday parties, and corporate team-building days across the Manawatu region. Each session is customised to suit the age group and goals of the participants, ensuring everyone from toddlers to CEOs has a brilliant time.

Local culture

Palmerston North might be known for its beautiful roses and academic vibes, but under the surface, there's a buzzing street art pulse. From the vibrant murals tucked away in the George Street precinct to the local 'Street Prints' festivals that have transformed blank walls into massive canvases, Palmy is a city that embraces urban expression. Our workshops tap into this local energy, giving you a chance to contribute to the city's creative dialogue.

Fun Fact: Did you know Palmerston North is home to several internationally acclaimed muralists? The city's 'Arts Power' initiative has turned many grey alleyways into a colourful outdoor gallery!

Whether we're setting up near The Square or at a private venue in Terrace End, the relaxed, student-friendly atmosphere of Palmerston North makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti session. We love bringing the raw, energetic street culture of bigger cities like Auckland or Wellington right here to the heart of the Manawatu. 🔥
