Is there a minimum or maximum group size for the workshop?

Our graffiti leadership training is designed for teams of all sizes in Palmerston North, from small management tiers of 5 to large corporate departments of 50+. For very large groups, we bring in extra professional artists to ensure every person gets enough 'can-time' and individual coaching. We tailor the complexity of the art project to match your specific group dynamics and available time.

Do we need any previous artistic experience or talent?

Absolutely not! This isn't an art class; it's a leadership and communication exercise. Most of our participants haven't touched a spray can since high school (if ever). Our expert street artists guide you through the technical bits so you can focus on the creative strategy and team collaboration. You'll be amazed at the masterpiece your 'non-artistic' team can create together.

Is the spray paint safe to use, and do you provide gear?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including overalls, gloves, and specialized masks. We use low-odor professional spray paint and typically run these sessions in well-ventilated spaces or outdoors. Our instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free environment for your entire team. Plus, the paint is high-quality and dries fast!

Where in Palmerston North does the workshop take place?

The beauty of graffiti leadership training is its versatility. We can host the event at various cool spots around Palmerston North, or if you have a suitable outdoor space or high-ceilinged warehouse at your office, we can come to you. We handle all the prep work, including floor and wall protection, so you don't have to worry about unwanted 'permanent' additions to your property!

How long is a typical session, and can it fit into a half-day?

A typical leadership session runs between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for the icebreaker, skill-building 'tags,' the main collaborative mural, and a final debrief where we connect the creative process back to your leadership goals. If you're on a tight schedule, we can condense the experience, but we recommend at least 2 hours to get the full impact.

What is the payment process and is there a deposit?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no-stress' booking policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront. We want you to feel completely confident in your booking. You only pay after the workshop is complete and your team is buzzing from the experience. This keeps things simple for your accounts department and ensures 100% satisfaction.

What happens if it rains or an artist is unavailable?

We definitely don't let a bit of 'Palmy' rain dampen our spirits! We always have backup indoor locations or marquee setups available. Additionally, we have a roster of backup artists ready to go, so your event will never be cancelled due to staff illness. We provide a reliable, professional service that fits your corporate schedule.

QUICK TAG WALL

The experience

Why choose graffiti for your next leadership event? Because it breaks down barriers like nothing else. In the world of street art, there’s no hierarchy—just the wall and the team. It’s the perfect way to see who steps up, who listens, and how your team handles a completely new challenge. 🚀

Boosts creative problem-solving: Discover how your leaders react when the plan changes and the paint starts flowing.
Strengthens communication: You can't paint a mural together without talking—a lot! 🙌
Encourages vulnerability: Stepping into an unknown medium levels the playing field for everyone.
Tangible results: You’ll have a literal 'masterpiece' to take back to the office as a reminder of your goals. 🏆
Stress relief: Let’s be honest—spraying a wall is incredibly satisfying and great for mental well-being.
100% Engagement: No one falls asleep in our workshops. It's hands-on from minute one!

Step by step

Initial briefing: We kick off at your Palmerston North location with an intro to the day’s goals and a quick safety demo.
The tag challenge: Every leader starts by creating their own 'tag,' learning the basic control of the spray can and finding their individual voice.
Collaborative sketching: Your team works together to sketch a large-scale concept that represents your collective vision or company values.
Division of roles: Much like a business project, participants must assign roles—who handles the outline, who does the fill, and who manages the overall 'big picture.'
The painting phase: The cans come out! This is where the real teamwork happens, requiring constant communication and pivot-points as the mural evolves.
The 'Masterpiece' reveal: Step back and check out the final result. It’s always a proud moment for the team to see what they built from scratch.
Leadership debrief: Our artists and your facilitators discuss how the group handled challenges, delegated tasks, and supported each other during the process.
