How long does a typical graffiti birthday party last?

Most of our Funchal birthday workshops last between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of learning time and creative freedom without the kids getting tired. We start with a safety briefing and technique practice before moving on to the main masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule to stick to for cake or other activities, just let us know and we can adjust the timing accordingly!

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our number one priority! We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every child to keep their clothes clean. We also use professional-grade spray paint that is safe when used correctly under the supervision of our experienced artists. Our instructors are trained to manage groups of children, ensuring everyone stays safe while having the best time possible creating their street art.

Do I need to provide a specific location in Funchal?

Ideally, we recommend an outdoor space with good ventilation, such as a garden, a quiet driveway, or a terrace. If you don't have a suitable space in Funchal, don't worry! We can often help suggest local spots or provide mobile boards that we set up and take away. We are very flexible and can adapt to various locations to ensure the birthday party goes off without a hitch.

What is the minimum age for the graffiti workshop? parents often ask.

Our birthday workshops are generally best suited for children aged 6 and up. At this age, they have the motor skills to handle the spray cans and can follow the safety instructions effectively. For teenagers, we ramp up the technical difficulty to keep them engaged. We tailor our teaching style to the specific age group of your party guests to ensure everyone feels like a pro.

Do the children need any prior artistic experience?

Absolutely not! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our Funchal artists are experts at breaking down complex street art techniques into simple, fun steps that anyone can follow. Whether your child is already a little artist or has never picked up a spray can before, they will leave the session with a piece of art they are truly proud of. It is all about the experience!

What should the kids wear to the party?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes. While we provide full-body protective overalls, graffiti can occasionally be a bit messy, and it’s better to be safe than sorry! Since Funchal can be sunny, bringing some sunscreen and hats for outdoor sessions is also a great idea. We provide everything else, including masks, gloves, paint, and the canvases or boards for the kids to work on.

Do I need to pay a deposit in advance?

Convenience is key! You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your Funchal graffiti party. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We accept various payment methods, and our goal is to make the booking process as stress-free as possible for busy parents planning a celebration.

Local culture

Funchal is a city that breathes creativity, from its stunning botanical gardens to the iconic painted doors of Rua de Santa Maria. Our workshops tap into this local "Arte de Portas Abertas" spirit, giving Funchal kids the chance to contribute to the city's artistic vibe. We love bringing our mobile street art setups to garden parties overlooking the Atlantic or local community spaces across Madeira.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the "Open Doors Art" project in Funchal's Old Town turned a run-down area into one of the most photographed street art galleries in the world? Your kids could be the next generation of Madeiran creatives! 🌟
