Is the graffiti workshop safe for children during a communion party?

Absolutely! We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits for every child. Our spray paints are low-odour and we use specific techniques to ensure a safe environment. Plus, our professional artists guide the children every step of the way to ensure they use the equipment correctly and safely while having the time of their lives!

How far in advance should I book the workshop?

Ideally, we recommend booking your Funchal communion celebration at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially during the busy spring season. However, because we have a large team of backup artists, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. If you have a date in mind, just get in touch and we will do our best to make it happen for you!

Do we need to come to a studio, or can you come to our venue?

We can set up almost anywhere in Funchal! Whether you are hosting the party at a private villa, a rented event space, or a local community centre, we bring all the necessary protective floor coverings and boards. As long as there is a well-ventilated area or an outdoor space, we can turn it into a pop-up graffiti studio for the day.

Do the kids need to have any artistic experience?

No prior artistic skill is needed at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a stick figure to budding young Picassos. Our artists use easy-to-follow templates and "filling" techniques that guarantee every child walks away with a piece of art they are genuinely proud of. It is all about the fun and the process!

What materials are included in the communion package?

We provide everything! This includes premium spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), high-quality canvases or wooden boards, and all the cleaning supplies. You just need to provide the excited guests and a venue; we handle the rest of the setup and the cleanup so you can relax and enjoy the party.

How long does the graffiti session typically last?

A standard communion party workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides enough time for a safety briefing, some practice rounds on plastic film, and then the creation of the final masterpiece. We find this is the perfect duration to keep the energy high and the kids fully engaged without them getting overwhelmed.

Do I need to pay a deposit upfront?

Yes! We don't require any upfront payment to secure your booking. You can pay after the workshop is completed once you've seen the smiles on the kids' faces and the amazing art they've created. We believe in our service so much that we want you to be 100% satisfied before we settle the bill.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Funchal is famously known as a "garden city," but it is also becoming a canvas for incredible urban art. From the iconic painted doors of Rua de Santa Maria in the Old Town to the massive murals tucked away in the hilly outskirts, Funchal has a deep appreciation for visual storytelling. Our workshops tap into this local creative spirit, allowing the next generation of Madeiran youth to contribute their own "digital-free" creativity to the island's culture. 🏝️

Fun Fact: Most people know Funchal for its wicker toboggans, but the city's "Arte de Portas Abertas" project turned over 200 derelict doors into stunning artworks, proving that art can truly transform any space!

Pricing

Our Funchal communion workshops are priced to be accessible while maintaining the highest quality standards. Prices typically range from €20 to €45 per person. This variation depends on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and whether you want individual canvases for every child to keep.

Note: We don't believe in hidden fees! Our quotes cover everything from setup to cleanup.
