How long does the VIP graffiti experience in Funchal last?

Your Funchal VIP graffiti workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for the initial design phase, learning spray techniques, and completing your final masterpiece on the wall or canvas. We move at your pace, ensuring you never feel rushed while you're in the creative zone. Plus, there’s always time for a few photos with your art at the end!

Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Not at all! Our VIP experience is designed for everyone, from complete beginners to those with a creative streak. Our professional artists will guide you through every step, starting with basic can control and moving up to advanced layering and detailing. You’ll be surprised at the high-quality art you can produce with just a little expert coaching in a fun, relaxed environment.

What materials are included in the VIP package?

We’ve got you covered! We provide high-quality spray cans in a huge range of colours, professional-grade masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the canvas or wall space and all design materials like caps and markers. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and perhaps some comfortable shoes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on.

Is the workshop safe, and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary European-standard protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our workshops take place in well-ventilated areas, and our professional instructors provide a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We ensure a controlled environment so you can focus entirely on having fun and being creative.

What happens if it rains on the day of my workshop?

Funchal’s weather is usually gorgeous, but we always have a plan B! We work with several indoor and covered locations across the city to ensure your VIP experience goes ahead regardless of the weather. If the forecast looks particularly festive (and not in a good way), we’ll coordinate with you to move the session to one of our premium sheltered spots or reschedule to suit you.

Can we take our artwork home with us after the session?

Absolutely! While many VIP clients love the scale of painting on a real wall, we can also arrange for you to paint on high-quality canvases that you can take home. This is a popular choice for those wanting a permanent souvenir of their time in Madeira. Just let us know your preference when booking so we can prepare the right materials for your session.

Is there a maximum group size for the VIP experience?

While we specialise in VIP and private groups, we offer fantastic workshops for schools, company team building, and even bachelor parties. If you have a very large group, we simply bring in more artists to ensure everyone gets that personal, high-end experience Graffitifun is known for. Funchal is a great spot for large-scale creative events, and we have the capacity to handle them.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Funchal is famous for its "Arte de Portas Abertas" (Art of Open Doors) in the Old Town, where the streets themselves are a permanent gallery. Our VIP experience taps into this local spirit of transformation and creativity. While the city is decorated with traditional tiles and flowers, the modern street art scene in Madeira is growing fast, blending island vibes with urban grit.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the "Open Doors" project in Funchal’s Rua de Santa Maria was designed to revitalise the area? It’s now one of the most photographed streets in Portugal! 🎨

Our workshops often draw inspiration from the lush greenery and deep blues of the Atlantic that surround the city, giving your graffiti a unique "Island Style" that you won't find in Lisbon or Porto.

Pricing

Our VIP Funchal experiences are designed to be premium yet accessible. Prices typically range from €20 to €45 per person, depending on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and whether you choose to paint on a wall or take-home canvases.
