Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use high-quality, low-odour spray paint whenever possible and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our instructors are trained to facilitate workshops for individuals with varying needs and will always maintain a controlled, supervised environment to ensure everyone feels secure and confident while they create.

How do you accommodate different types of disabilities?

We believe everyone has an artist inside them! Our workshops are highly adaptable. Whether a participant has mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, or intellectual disabilities, we adjust our teaching style and tools. We can work on vertical walls, horizontal tables, or smaller canvases, and we provide extra support to ensure every individual can participate at their own pace and comfort level.

How long does a typical session last?

Usually, our special needs programs in Vancouver last between 1.5 and 2 hours. This timeframe is perfect because it allows enough time for everyone to get comfortable with the cans and finish their masterpiece without it becoming overstimulating or tiring. We are always flexible and can build in extra breaks if the group needs a moment to recharge.

What should participants wear to the workshop?

Participants should wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective ponchos and gloves, street art can sometimes get a little messy! Closed-toe shoes are also a must for safety purposes. We provide everything else—the paint, the caps, the breathing protection, and the canvas or wall space.

Can you host the workshop at our own facility?

Definitely! We love bringing the art to you. If you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area at your facility in Vancouver, our team can set up mobile graffiti walls. This is often a great option for groups who prefer a familiar environment. Just let us know your location details when you request a quote, and we'll make it happen.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional artists will guide the group through every single step, from holding the can correctly to making their first 'tag'. We focus on the process and the joy of creation rather than technical perfection, ensuring everyone leaves feeling like a total pro.

How does the payment process work?

We try to keep things easy for you. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your workshop date. At Graffitifun, we believe in the quality of our experiences, so you pay after the workshop is completed. This keeps the booking process stress-free for organizers and ensures you are 100% satisfied with the event.

Step by step

Warm welcome: Our friendly artists greet the group and introduce the vibrant world of street art in a relaxed, easy-going way.
Safety first: We suit up! Everyone gets their protective gear, and we explain how to use the equipment safely and comfortably.
The basics: Participants learn how to hold a spray can and practice basic techniques like making dots, lines, and simple shapes.
Drafting ideas: We help participants sketch out their ideas or choose a pre-designed stencil to make the process accessible for everyone.
Colour explosion: This is the best part—picking your favourite colours and starting to fill in the design on the canvas or wall!
Adding flare: Artists provide hands-on help to add outlines, highlights, and those cool details that make the artwork pop.
The finishing touch: Participants add their personal 'tag' or signature to their masterpiece to claim it as their own.
Photo op: We take group photos of the incredible artwork so everyone has a digital memory of their creative achievement.
Wrap up: A high-five finish! We pack up the gear, and everyone gets to reflect on the amazing art they just created.
