Is the graffiti summer camp safe for children and teenagers?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use high-quality spray paints and provide all participants with protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional instructors in Rivera are experienced in working with youth and provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We ensure a well-ventilated outdoor environment so the kids can focus entirely on having a blast and being creative.

Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our summer camp activities are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners who have never held a spray can to budding young artists. Our instructors break down the process into easy, manageable steps. We focus on technique, style, and confidence-building. By the end of the session, every participant will have created something they are truly proud of, regardless of their starting point.

What should participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Although we provide protective overalls, gloves, and masks, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business! Since our Rivera workshops often take place outdoors to enjoy the summer weather, bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a bottle of water is also a very smart idea for all our young artists.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard summer camp session in Rivera typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives the group plenty of time to learn the history of street art, practice basic spraying techniques, sketch out their designs, and finally execute their masterpiece on a large scale. The duration can be adjusted based on your specific camp schedule and the age group of the participants involved.

What is the maximum group size for a summer camp activity?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you have a small group of 10 or a massive camp of over 100, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we bring in extra professional artists to ensure every child gets personal attention and guidance. Our goal is to make sure no one is left standing around; everyone gets a can in their hand and space to create.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

While we love the sun in Rivera, we always have a plan B. If the weather doesn't play ball, we can often move the workshop to a sheltered outdoor area or use specialized water-based paints for an indoor session if the venue allows. Additionally, we have backup artists available to ensure your event goes ahead even if there's an unexpected scheduling conflict. Your creative plans are safe with us!

Local culture

Rivera is a city with a truly unique pulse, sitting right on the border where Uruguayan and Brazilian cultures blend together. This "Frontera de la Paz" spirit makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop. Street art thrives on the mixing of styles, and here in Rivera, that international influence is everywhere. We love tapping into the local energy, encouraging campers to draw inspiration from the city's bilingual flow and vibrant atmosphere.

Fun Fact: Did you know that in Rivera, you can stand with one foot in Uruguay and the other in Brazil on the Plaza Internacional? Our workshops embrace that same sense of freedom and boundary-breaking creativity! ✨
