Do I need to be an expert artist to join the training?

Absolutely no prior experience with spray paint is required. This training is specifically designed to take educators from 'zero to hero'. We start with basic safety and can control before moving into complex pieces. The goal is to give you the confidence to lead a class, regardless of your personal artistic background. Our professional artists will guide you through every flick of the wrist.

What safety protocols are covered for school environments?

Safety is our primary concern, especially in a school setting. We cover the use of low-pressure cans, proper ventilation, and the necessity of masks and gloves. We also discuss eco-friendly paint alternatives and how to set up a 'safe zone' for students. By the end of the session, you'll have a comprehensive safety checklist to use for all your future classroom projects.

Are all the materials included in the workshop?

We provide everything! Your session includes high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, various nozzles (caps) for different effects, respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits. We also provide the surfaces to practice on. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of 'artistic' dust on. We handle the cleanup and the logistics.

Can these techniques be used indoors?

While we love outdoor murals, we also teach techniques for indoor projects using water-based sprays and paint markers. The training covers how to adapt graffiti lessons for different spaces, including temporary plywood walls or large-scale canvas projects. We’ll help you figure out the best setup for your specific school layout in Rivera, whether you have a massive courtyard or a small art studio.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Our standard professional development sessions usually run between 2 and 4 hours. This allows enough time for the theoretical background, safety briefing, hands-on practice, and a final group critique. However, we can also offer full-day intensives if you want to dive deeper into mural planning and advanced stencil work. We are flexible and can work around your school’s timetable and professional development days.

Can I book now and pay after the training?

Yes! Since we don't require upfront payments, you can secure your preferred date today and handle the administration later. We understand that school budgets and department approvals take time. You only pay after the training is complete and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This makes the booking process stress-free for busy educators and department heads.

Do you offer workshops for students as well?

While our focus is on the teacher training, we also offer specific workshops for students, kids' parties, and even bachelor parties. Many teachers in Rivera choose to do the training first, then hire us to lead a large-scale festival or school event where they can assist and see the techniques in action with large groups. It’s a great way to transition from learning to leading.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Rivera is a city of unique fusion, where the borders between Uruguay and Brazil blur, and the 'Portuñol' language flows as freely as the creativity in our streets. This binational spirit makes Rivera the perfect backdrop for street art, which has always been about breaking boundaries and crossing lines. From the vibrant atmosphere near the Sarandí pedestrian mall to the quiet corners of the outskirts, there is a canvas waiting everywhere.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Rivera and Santana do Livramento share a 'dry border' where you can stand with one foot in Uruguay and one in Brazil? This sense of shared space is exactly what we teach in our collaborative mural workshops! 🇺🇾🇧🇷

Pricing

Our training sessions are as unique as your school! Prices depend on group size, duration, and the specific setup you need. Whether it's a small art department or an entire school staff, we offer competitive rates with no hidden fees.
