Is the graffiti workshop safe for people with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use low-solvent, water-based spray paint options where necessary and provide full protective gear, including masks, gloves, and ponchos. Our artists are trained to manage the workshop environment professionally, ensuring all participants can focus on having fun and being creative in a secure, supportive space in Rivera.

How long does a typical special needs graffiti session last?

Generally, our workshops last between 90 minutes and 3 hours. However, we understand that concentration levels and energy can vary. We remain completely flexible, allowing for more frequent breaks or a shorter, more intense session if that suits your group better. We work at your pace to ensure everyone leaves with a smile and a masterpiece!

What is the ideal group size for this program?

We recommend a minimum of 5-10 people to get a great atmosphere going, but we can cater to much larger groups as well. For special needs programs, we often suggest a higher artist-to-participant ratio to ensure everyone gets the dedicated support they deserve. Just let us know your group size, and we’ll tailor the staff accordingly.

Do participants need prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Many of our participants have never held a spray can before. Our Rivera-based artists are experts at breaking down the techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on 'process over perfection,' encouraging everyone to enjoy the physical sensation of painting and the joy of seeing vibrant colours come to life.

Can you host the workshop at our specific care facility?

If your group is more comfortable in a familiar setting, we can certainly come to you! While we have great outdoor spots in Rivera, we can set up mobile graffiti walls at your facility, provided there is adequate ventilation or an outdoor courtyard. This helps reduce travel stress for participants who thrive on routine.

How does the 'pay after' policy work?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require payment until the workshop is successfully completed. This gives you total peace of mind. After the session, once you've seen the joy and creativity unleashed by your group, we will handle the administrative side. It's all about trust and making the process as easy as possible for you.

The experience

Choosing a graffiti workshop for a special needs program is a fantastic way to engage the senses and boost self-esteem. Here is why our Rivera program stands out:

Sensory Engagement: The weight of the can, the sound of the spray, and the visual pop of colour provide a rich multi-sensory experience. 🔥
Motor Skill Development: Handling the spray cans and aiming at the wall helps refine fine and gross motor skills in a fun way.
Total Inclusivity: Art is a universal language. Our workshops remove the pressure of 'traditional' art and focus on pure expression. 🎤
Confidence Building: Seeing a giant, colourful mural and knowing "I did that!" provides an incredible sense of accomplishment.
Stress-Free Booking: With no upfront payment and a guarantee that we won't cancel, your planning process is as smooth as possible. 🏆
Local Expertise: We know Rivera and its community, ensuring a friendly, local atmosphere for all participants.

Step by step

Initial chat: Reach out to us with your group's specific requirements and any mobility or sensory needs we should be aware of.
Custom planning: Our artists design a workshop flow that matches the energy and ability levels of your participants in Rivera.
The setup: We arrive early to set up protected canvas areas, lay out the protective gear, and prep the vibrant spray cans.
Safety briefing: We explain the equipment in a fun, non-intimidating way, ensuring everyone feels comfortable with their gear.
Testing the cans: Participants get to 'test fire' the cans, feeling the pressure and seeing how the paint hits the surface.
Shape and colour: We move into creating basic shapes, allowing everyone to experiment with different caps and spray widths.
The collective mural: Everyone contributes to a larger piece, fostering a sense of community and shared achievement.
Personal masterpieces: Each person gets to finish their own section or canvas to keep as a souvenir of their day.
Grand reveal: We take a group photo and celebrate the incredible street art created by the team!

Local culture

Rivera is a unique place where cultures blend, sitting right on the border with Brazil. This 'International Frontier' spirit makes it the perfect backdrop for an art form that breaks down barriers. The city has a growing appreciation for urban expression, and bringing our special needs program here feels like a natural fit for such a welcoming community. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that in Rivera, you can stand with one foot in Uruguay and the other in Brazil at the Plaza Internacional? Our workshops aim for that same kind of harmony—bringing different abilities together to create something beautiful. Whether you're coming from the city centre or nearby areas, we make sure the local Rivera vibe is felt in every spray! ✨
