Is the graffiti workshop wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely! We choose locations in Mercedes that are fully accessible for wheelchairs and individuals with limited mobility. We can also set up the workshop at your specific facility or a local park with paved access. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can reach their canvas comfortably and safely, allowing the creativity to flow without any physical barriers getting in the way.

What safety measures do you take for special needs groups?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality, low-odour professional spray paint and full protective gear, including masks, gloves, and ponchos. Our artists are trained to supervise the session closely, ensuring everyone uses the tools correctly. We also offer water-based paint alternatives for those with high sensory sensitivities to smells, making the environment as comfortable as possible for everyone involved.

Can you adapt the workshop for different types of disabilities?

Our workshops are incredibly flexible. Our artists are experienced in working with various cognitive and physical needs, and they know how to adapt their teaching style on the fly. Whether someone needs one-on-one guidance or prefers to work at a slower pace with frequent breaks, we facilitate a patient, supportive atmosphere that celebrates every individual's unique contribution and artistic expression.

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard special needs workshops in Mercedes typically last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. However, we understand that focus and energy levels vary. We can easily shorten the session or include 'chill-out' intervals to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We work with you beforehand to determine the ideal timeframe that ensures the group stays engaged and happy without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

What is the maximum group size?

For special needs programs, we recommend a smaller ratio to ensure quality support. Usually, groups range from 5 to 15 participants, but we can accommodate larger groups by bringing in additional professional artists. If you have a very large group in Mercedes, just let us know, and we will tailor the setup to maintain a high level of personal attention and safety for every participant.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! This experience is designed for complete beginners. Our professional graffiti artists will guide the group through every step, from basic nozzle control to creating vibrant shapes. The beauty of graffiti is its freedom; there are no mistakes, only 'happy accidents'. We focus on the joy of the process and the sensory experience of the paint rather than technical perfection.

How do I book and what are the payment terms?

Booking is easy! Use our online Cost Calculator for a quick estimate, or reach out via our contact form. We don’t require upfront payments—you only pay after the workshop is complete. We also have backup artists available, so you can rest assured that your event in Mercedes will go ahead as planned, regardless of any last-minute artist illness. We make the logistics a breeze!

Learning the spray: Our artists demonstrate simple techniques, helping participants get a feel for the spray cans and the vibrant colours.
Creative freedom: Everyone gets their own section of a large canvas or wall to express themselves freely with guided support.
Group masterpiece: We often bring individual works together into one large, colourful mural that represents the group's collective spirit.

Local culture

Mercedes, known as the 'City of Tourism and Culture', has a long-standing appreciation for the arts, from its historic jazz festivals to the beautiful murals found near the waterfront. The relaxed pace of life here in the Soriano department provides the ideal atmosphere for a therapeutic graffiti session. We love drawing inspiration from the local scenery, perhaps incorporating the blues of the river or the greens of the many plazas into our palette. 🎨

Fun fact: Mercedes is home to one of the most beautiful boardwalks (rambla) in Uruguay. The serene environment by the water is a fantastic spot to find artistic inspiration before we start shaking those spray cans! 🌊
