Do I need to be an artist to participate?

No experience is necessary! Our Rivera pop-up events are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists guide you through every step, from how to hold the spray can to advanced layering techniques. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can create something impressive with a little expert help and a bit of creative confidence!

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to get creative. This includes professional-grade spray paint in a massive range of colours, high-quality canvases or boards, masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. Just bring your enthusiasm and maybe wear some comfy shoes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. We handle the rest!

How much does a graffiti pop-up event cost?

Prices for our pop-up events in Rivera vary based on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and the specific setup (like custom canvases or specific themes). Because every event is unique, we provide bespoke quotes to ensure you get the best value. Request a quote today for an instant estimate!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with gloves and overalls. Most of our Rivera pop-up events take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large open spaces. Our instructors are also trained to ensure everyone uses the equipment safely and responsibly.

How long does the pop-up experience last?

The workshop itself usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief introduction, some practice sessions on the 'try-out' wall, and then the creation of your final masterpiece. We can also adapt the timing if you're hosting a shorter brand activation or a longer festival session.

Can you host this for a corporate brand activation?

Absolutely! If you're a business in Rivera looking for a unique way to launch a product, our pop-up workshops are perfect for brand activation. We can incorporate your brand colours and logos into the artwork, and even have our artists create a live piece while your guests learn the basics too.

What happens if it rains during the event?

We can set up almost anywhere in Rivera with enough space! Whether it's a car park, a community centre garden, or a private event space, we just need a flat surface and proper ventilation. If the weather doesn't play ball, we always have backup artists and plans to ensure your creative experience isn't dampened!

Step by step

Arrival and intro: Meet your pro artist guide and get a quick intro to the vibrant world of street art culture.
Safety first: Suit up in your protective gear, including masks and gloves, so you can paint without the mess.
Master the tech: Learn about 'caps' (nozzles) and how they change your spray lines from thin to fat.
Practice session: Get a feel for the pressure on our practice boards—don't worry, mistakes are part of the art!
Sketching your design: Use chalk or light spray to outline your big idea on the main canvas.
Filling and fading: Learn the 'fill-in' technique and how to create those cool gradient fades you see on city walls.
The outline: Sharpen up your work with a final outline to make your colours pop and your shapes stand out.
Final tweaks: Add highlights, shines, or 'splatters' to give your piece that professional graffiti finish.
The big reveal: Step back, admire your work, and take some epic photos with your creation!

Local culture

Rivera is a unique place where cultures blend, sitting right on the border with Brazil. This "International Frontier" spirit makes it a haven for creative expression. While you might stroll through the Parque Internacional, you’ll notice that art is part of the city's heartbeat. Our pop-up events tap into this local energy, bringing a modern, urban edge to the traditional Uruguayan warmth. Whether we are setting up near the bustling shopping districts or in a quiet local neighbourhood, the vibe is always electric. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Rivera and Santana do Livramento are so closely linked that you can stand with one foot in Uruguay and one in Brazil? Our graffiti workshops celebrate this 'borderless' creativity! 🇺🇾🇧🇷
