Looking to bring a burst of colour and energy to your next youth initiative in the Rebel City? Our graffiti workshops for youth projects in Cork are designed to empower young people through the raw, vibrant power of street art. Whether you're working with a community centre in Knocknaheeny, a youth club in Douglas, or an outreach programme in the city centre, our professional artists bring the gear and the expertise directly to you. We turn blank walls or boards into collaborative masterpieces, teaching teens not just how to paint, but how to express their identity and reclaim their environment in a positive, legal way. It’s hands-on, it’s high-energy, and it’s something they’ll be talking about for months. Ready to make your mark? ✨

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your youth project? It’s more than just painting—it’s about building confidence and community. Here is why Cork youth leaders love working with us:

  • Instant Engagement: Even the hardest-to-reach teens can't resist the cool factor of a spray can. 🎤
  • Team Building: Working on a large-scale mural encourages communication and shared pride.
  • Safe Expression: We provide a legal, structured outlet for urban creativity, reducing illegal tagging. 💪
  • Professional Mentors: Our artists aren't just talented; they are experienced in mentoring young people from all backgrounds.
  • Tangible Results: Participants end up with a massive piece of art that can decorate your youth centre for years. 🏆
  • Stress-Free Setup: We handle all the logistics, from floor protection to safety gear—you just provide the space!

Step by step

  1. Initial brainstorm: We start by chatting about the themes or messages the youth group wants to express through their art.
  2. Safety first: Every participant gets kitted out in protective gear and learns the vital rules of using spray paint safely.
  3. The tag creator: Before picking up a can, we practice 'tagging' and letter structure using our digital tools and paper sketches.
  4. Mastering the can: Our pro artists demonstrate 'can control'—learning how to make thin lines, thick fills, and smooth gradients.
  5. Outline and fill: The group starts bringing their design to life on the wall or canvas, working together on a large-scale project.
  6. Adding the 'pop': We teach the tricks of the trade, like highlights, 3D effects, and sharp 'cut-ins' to make the art stand out.
  7. The final reveal: We step back to admire the collective mural, take group photos, and celebrate the incredible work the kids have done!

Local culture

Street art in Cork

Cork has always had a bit of a rebellious streak, and that's reflected in our thriving street art scene. From the massive murals on Sullivan's Quay to the hidden gems in the Victorian Quarter, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this local heritage, showing young Corkonians that they are part of a long tradition of Irish creativity. We don’t just teach 'graffiti'; we teach the culture behind it, respecting the city's streets while giving the youth a voice. 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know Cork is home to some of the tallest murals in Ireland? Many of the world-renowned artists who painted them started exactly where our students do—with a single can and a big idea!
