How it works

  1. The meet & greet: We gather at a vibrant legal street art spot in Rotterdam, where your lead artist introduces the team and hands out your protective gear.
  2. Street art history: Get a quick, high-energy briefing on the evolution of graffiti and how Rotterdam became a global hub for mural culture.
  3. The tag creator: Before spraying, use our online Tag Creator tool or sketch out your ideas on paper to find your unique 'writer' persona.
  4. Nozzle basics: Learn the difference between fat caps and skinny caps. We’ll show you how to control pressure to create clean lines and smooth fades.
  5. The first layer: Start with your background colours. This is the 'messy' fun part where you learn to fill large areas of the wall or canvas.
  6. Outline and detail: Use sharper caps to define your shapes. Our artists will be right beside you to help with tricky shadows or 3D effects.
  7. The final flourish: Add highlights, shines, and that essential 'bold outline' that makes your graffiti pop off the wall.
  8. Group photo op: Pose with your team in front of your completed masterpiece—the perfect souvenir for your Rotterdam party.
  9. Final debrief: Take off the suits, pack up the paint, and head off to your next Rotterdam destination with a major creative buzz!

Frequently asked questions

Do we need any prior art experience to enjoy the workshop?

Absolutely! Most of our outdoor party guests in Rotterdam have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists are there to guide you through everything from basic nozzle control to advanced layering techniques. We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where 'mistakes' are just part of the creative process. You'll be amazed at the masterpiece you can create in just a few hours with our expert tips.

What safety gear is provided and what should we wear?

Every participant at our Rotterdam outdoor parties receives a full protective suit, gloves, and a high-quality mask. While the spray paint we use is professional-grade, we take safety seriously. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old trainers just in case, but our gear is designed to keep your party outfit looking fresh while you unleash your inner Banksy on the city walls.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor party?

Rotterdam's weather can be unpredictable, but the party doesn't have to stop! We always have backup plans. Depending on the severity, we can move the session to a sheltered outdoor spot or one of our partner indoor creative spaces. Plus, we have backup artists on standby to ensure your event goes ahead no matter what. We’ll keep you updated if the forecast looks a bit dodgy.

Is there an upfront payment required for booking?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexible booking policy. You don't have to pay a penny upfront! We trust our customers and want the process to be as stress-free as possible. You simply pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy with their creations. It’s all part of our 100% satisfaction guarantee to ensure you have the best time in Rotterdam.

How long does the outdoor graffiti experience usually last?

Standard outdoor party workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the final creation of your large-scale group or individual pieces. If you're on a tight schedule or want an extended 'deep dive' session, we can easily customise the duration to fit your Rotterdam itinerary perfectly. Just let us know!

Can you accommodate large groups or corporate parties?

We love hosting groups of all sizes! Whether it's an intimate birthday gathering of 10 or a massive corporate festival with hundreds of participants, we've got the tools and the team to handle it. For very large groups, we bring in extra artists to ensure everyone gets personal attention and plenty of paint. Rotterdam is the perfect backdrop for large-scale creative collaborations!
