Do we need any previous artistic experience?

Absolutely! In fact, most of our team development participants in Winterthur have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists are expert teachers who break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on 'learning by doing' in a supportive, high-energy environment. You'll be amazed at how quickly your team goes from 'I can't draw' to creating a massive, vibrant masterpiece together. It is all about the process and team spirit!

What about safety and protective gear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks to filter out fumes, as well as protective suits and gloves to keep your clothes clean. We generally recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old trainers just in case. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a canister, ensuring a worry-free and fun experience for everyone involved.

How long does a typical workshop last?

The duration is flexible to suit your schedule! Most team development workshops in Winterthur last about 2 to 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a solid introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final group project. If you have a tighter schedule or want a more intensive 4-hour 'masterclass' experience, we can easily customise the timeline to fit your corporate event's flow perfectly.

Where in Winterthur do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our partner creative spots in Winterthur, or we can come to your office if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated garage. We also work with several local event venues. If you’re unsure, just let us know your preferred location, and we will handle the logistics to ensure we have a legal and safe wall or mobile boards ready for you.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Rain doesn't have to stop the fun! If the weather looks shaky, we have several options. We can use mobile wooden canvases in a sheltered outdoor area or an indoor hall with proper ventilation. Alternatively, we can use water-based, low-odour spray paint for indoor sessions. We always have a backup plan ready so your team building event can go ahead regardless of the Swiss weather. We'll discuss these options during the booking process.

Do we need to pay in advance?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'play now, pay later' policy. You don't need to make any upfront payments to secure your date in Winterthur. We trust our clients and focus on delivering a 100% satisfactory experience first. After the workshop is complete and your team is buzzing with excitement, we will send over the invoice for payment. This makes the administrative side easy for your HR or finance department.

Can we keep the artwork for our office?

Definitely! Most of our team building groups choose to create a large-scale mural on transportable wooden panels or canvas. This means once the workshop is over, you can take your collaborative artwork back to the office. It serves as a fantastic, colourful reminder of your team's creativity and shared success. It's much more meaningful than a standard trophy—it’s a piece of art you built together as a unit!

Step by step

Arrival and welcome: Your team meets our pro artists at the chosen Winterthur location for a high-energy kick-off.
The basics of street art: We start with a brief history of graffiti culture and an introduction to the different types of nozzles (caps) and spray techniques.
Safety briefing: Everyone gets geared up in protective suits, gloves, and masks while we cover the essential 'dos and don'ts' of using spray cans.
Individual practice session: Your team gets their own space to practice basic lines, fades, and 'can control' to build up their artistic confidence.
The big concept: We brainstorm the collective mural. This is where your company values or team goals get translated into a visual sketch.
Collaborative spraying: The team works together on a large-scale wall or canvas, applying the techniques learned earlier to create a unified piece of art.
The finishing touches: Our artists help you with 'outlining' and 'highlighting' to make your team's masterpiece really pop and look professional.
Grand reveal and photos: We step back to admire the work, take epic team photos, and celebrate the creative breakthrough your group has achieved!

Local culture

Winterthur is more than just Zurich's industrial neighbour; it is a city of world-class museums and a hidden heart for urban culture. Known as the 'City of Museums', it has a sophisticated appreciation for art that makes it an ideal spot for a graffiti-based team day. From the edgy vibes around the Lagerplatz to the creative pockets in the Sulzer Areal, Winterthur breathes a unique blend of heritage and modern innovation. 🏗️

Fun Fact: Winterthur is home to one of Europe's largest continuous pedestrian zones, and the city's commitment to public art can be seen in the various sculptures and murals tucked away in its historic corners!
