Do the participants need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! Our Rakvere youth projects are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional artist starts with a safety briefing and basic can-control techniques. We guide the group through every step, from sketching the first lines to adding the final highlights. No prior artistic talent is needed—just a positive attitude and a willingness to try something new and exciting!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. Our instructors are experienced professionals who supervise the use of spray cans at all times. We also ensure the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated area, following all local Rakvere safety guidelines for youth activities.

How long does a typical youth session last?

A standard youth project workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a solid introduction, some practice runs on plastic foil or practice boards, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We can also adjust the duration to fit into a larger school schedule or community event timeline if needed.

What materials are included in the Rakvere workshop?

We provide everything! This includes a wide variety of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear (overalls, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' itself—whether that’s a temporary wall, boards, or even small canvases for the kids to take home. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and wear old clothes!

What is the ideal group size for a youth project?

We are very flexible! Small groups of 10-15 work great for intensive learning, but we can also handle large-scale youth events with 50+ participants by bringing in additional backup artists. This ensures everyone gets personal attention and plenty of time to spray. For very large groups in Rakvere, we often set up multiple 'stations'.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

If the weather in Rakvere takes a turn, we have several options. We can move the project to a well-ventilated indoor space, use large canvases instead of walls, or reschedule the event. Since we have backup artists and flexible scheduling, we always aim to find a solution that keeps the creative spirit moving forward.

Do we need to pay in advance for the workshop?

We understand that youth organisations often have specific budget cycles. At Graffitifun, we don't require any upfront payment. You can book your date and ensure everything is set up, and payment is only handled after the workshop has been successfully completed and the youth have had a blast!

Can we choose a specific theme for our graffiti project?

Most definitely. Our artists are skilled at helping groups brainstorm themes that matter to them—whether it's local Rakvere pride, environmental issues, or a specific school message. We work with the youth leaders beforehand to ensure the final artwork aligns with the goals of your specific project or community initiative.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti project for your Rakvere youth group? It’s not just about the paint; it’s about the transformation. Here is why our workshops are a hit every time:

🔥 Instant engagement: Even the hardest-to-reach teens are captivated by the 'cool factor' of spray paint.
💪 Confidence booster: Seeing a giant mural come to life from their own hands provides an incredible sense of achievement.
🎤 Safe self-expression: We provide a legal, structured outlet for youth to express their identities and opinions through art.
🏆 Professional mentorship: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active street performers who share real-world skills.
🤝 Teamwork in action: You can't finish a 10-meter wall alone—youth must communicate and collaborate to make the design flow.
🎉 Pure fun: It’s a high-energy, loud, and colourful break from the traditional classroom environment!

Beyond youth projects, we also provide specialized sessions for schools, festivals, kids parties, and even company team building.

Step by step

Initial brainstorming: We start by gathering the group to talk about themes, style, and what they want to express on their mural.
Safety first: Every participant gets geared up in protective suits, masks, and gloves while learning the golden rules of spray painting.
Mastering the can: Our pro artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching how distance and speed change the lines from thin to thick.
Sketching the wall: The youth help outline the main design using light colours to create the 'skeleton' of the artwork.
Filling in the soul: This is the fun part! Everyone grabs a can to fill in the large blocks of colour, learning about fades and gradients.
Defining the edges: We teach the trick of 'cutting' and 'outlining' to make the graffiti pop and look professional.
Adding details: Final highlights, shines, and 'bubbles' are added to give the piece depth and character.
The signing ceremony: Every participant gets to add their own 'tag' or signature to the work, claiming their part in the project.
Group photo & celebration: We wrap up by admiring the final result and taking photos of the team with their new Rakvere masterpiece!

Local culture

Rakvere is a city that bridges the gap between historical heritage and modern Estonian cool. While everyone knows the famous Tarvas statue and the medieval castle, there is a growing appetite for contemporary urban culture. Our workshops thrive in this environment, offering a modern creative outlet that complements the city's artistic vibe. We often take inspiration from Rakvere's blend of old-world charm and its status as a hub for sports and youth activities. There's nothing quite like spraying a vibrant, modern mural in a city that’s been a cultural landmark for centuries!

🎨 Fun Rakvere Fact: Did you know Rakvere is famous for its unconventional Christmas trees? The city has a history of creating 'artistic' installations rather than traditional trees—this same spirit of experimental art is exactly what we bring to our graffiti workshops!

In addition to Rakvere, we also facilitate youth projects in Tallinn, Tartu, Narva, and Parnu.

Pricing

We believe top-tier creative experiences should be accessible. Our pricing is transparent and designed to fit various youth project budgets in Estonia.

Investment: €20 - €40 per person

Please note that the final price depends on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the specific materials or travel requirements. We love working with schools and community organisations to find a package that works for everyone.
