Local culture

Medan is a city known for its incredible culinary scene and "preman" grit, but beneath the surface lies a rapidly growing urban art heartbeat. From the colonial-style buildings of Kesawan to the modern hubs around the city center, street art is becoming a key part of Medan's visual identity. Our retreat workshops tap into this local energy, offering a space where the traditional and the contemporary collide. We often draw inspiration from local North Sumatran motifs, blending them with modern graffiti styles to create something truly unique to this region. 🎨

Fun Medan Fact: Did you know that Medan's "Tjong A Fie Mansion" is filled with intricate artistic details? While we won't be spraying on historic monuments, that same spirit of bold Medan creativity flows through every workshop we run! 🏆
