Do I need prior art experience for the VIP workshop?

Absolutely not! Our Medan VIP experience is designed for everyone, from total beginners to seasoned creatives. Our professional artists will guide you through every step, starting with basic spray can control and moving up to advanced techniques. Most of our guests have never held a spray can before, and they always leave amazed by the high-quality street art they managed to create during the session.

What should I wear to the graffiti session?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. While we provide high-quality protective overalls, shoe covers, and gloves, graffiti is a messy art form and accidents can happen! It's best to leave your designer gear at home and opt for something practical so you can focus entirely on your creative process without worry.

How long does the VIP graffiti experience last?

The VIP experience in Medan usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your masterpiece. We move at your pace, so if you're a fast learner or want to spend more time perfecting a specific detail, we can adjust the flow to suit your group's energy.

Is the paint safe and are there safety measures?

Your safety is our number one priority. We provide professional-grade FFP3 respiratory masks to protect you from fumes, along with gloves and protective suits. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoor spaces. Our instructors stay with you throughout the session to ensure all equipment is handled correctly and that everyone has a fun, risk-free creative experience in the heart of Medan.

Can I take my artwork home with me?

Yes! In our VIP setup, you'll be working on your own high-quality canvas or a designated street art wall. If you work on a canvas, you get to take your artwork home with you as a unique souvenir of your time in Medan. Please note that paint can take a little while to dry, so we provide tips on how to transport your fresh masterpiece safely.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

We understand that plans can change. One of the best things about Graffitifun is that we don't require upfront payments—you pay after the workshop! We also have a roster of backup artists to ensure your event goes ahead even if an instructor falls ill. If you need to cancel or reschedule your Medan VIP session, just let us know as soon as possible.

What language is the workshop conducted in?

Our Medan VIP workshops are conducted in English, but our artists are masters of visual communication! The "language of art" is universal, and our instructors use plenty of hands-on demonstrations. Whether you are a local or a visitor, we make sure everyone feels included, understood, and inspired to create something incredible regardless of their native language.

Local culture

Medan is a city exploding with character, from the stunning architecture of the Maimun Palace to the legendary street food of Kesawan. But look closer at the alleyways and urban corners, and you'll find a thriving underground street art scene that rivals any global hub. Our VIP workshops tap into this local energy, giving you a chance to contribute to the creative pulse of the city. We often host our sessions near iconic spots, allowing the vibrant atmosphere of Medan to fuel your inspiration.

Fun Fact: Medan is home to some of the most impressive large-scale murals in Sumatra, often blending traditional Batak motifs with modern "wildstyle" graffiti lettering!

Whether you're inspired by the ornate carvings of local heritage or the gritty vibes of the city's modernisation, our artists will help you translate that Medan spirit onto your canvas. 🎨
