Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! Our Rezekne youth projects are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional street artists start with the basics, from how to hold the spray can to mastering 'the flick'. We provide all the guidance needed so that by the end of the session, every participant has created something they can be proud of. It is all about building confidence and having a blast while doing it!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for young people?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every participant. Our aerosol paints are low-odour and we always work in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our instructors are also trained to manage groups safely, ensuring a secure environment where everyone can express their creativity without any worries.

How long does a typical youth project workshop last?

A typical workshop for youth groups in Rezekne lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for an introduction to street art history, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. We can also adjust the timing to fit into your specific project schedule or school day.

Where in Rezekne do these workshops take place?

We are flexible! We can host the workshop at a location of your choice in Rezekne—whether that is a community centre, a school playground, or an indoor sports hall. Alternatively, we can help find a suitable local spot that allows for spray painting. We bring all the necessary protective floor coverings and materials to ensure the site remains clean and professional.

What is included in the price of the workshop?

We provide everything! Your booking includes premium spray paint in a huge range of colours, various nozzle types (caps), protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the surface to paint on (either a large communal wall or individual canvases). You just need to make sure participants wear old clothes and shoes just in case, and bring plenty of energy!

How does the payment process work?

We believe in the quality of our experience, so you don't have to pay a penny upfront. You can book your date and confirm the details with us, and the payment is only handled after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the event. We also have backup artists ready to ensure your project never gets cancelled.

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti project?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for youth engagement. It helps develop fine motor skills, encourages teamwork during mural planning, and provides a powerful outlet for self-expression. It often reaches young people who might not engage with traditional 'fine arts'. In Rezekne, we use these sessions to boost local pride and give the youth a voice through vibrant, visual storytelling.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Rezekne? It is more than just paint on a wall; it is a transformative experience that builds character and community. ✨

Total Inclusion: Graffiti is a great "leveler." You don't need to be a traditional artist to create something cool, making it perfect for kids from all backgrounds. 🤝
Confidence Booster: Seeing a giant mural come to life because of your own handiwork provides an incredible sense of achievement.
Teamwork in Action: Participants must communicate and coordinate to ensure their individual pieces fit into the larger group masterpiece. 🏗️
Safe & Professional: We manage everything from the masks to the drop-cloths. You just provide the space and the kids, and we handle the rest.
Vibrant Self-Expression: In a world of screens, our workshops offer a raw, physical, and highly visual way for young people to tell their stories. 🎤
Skill Development: From planning and sketching to final execution, participants learn project management and creative problem-solving.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We kick things off with a brief history of street art and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment properly.
The Art of the Tag: Students learn the foundations of typography and create their own "tag" or artistic signature on paper first.
Spray Can Control: Under the guidance of our pros, participants learn how to control pressure, create lines, and fill shapes using real spray cans.
Concept Sketching: We help the group brainstorm a theme for their project, ensuring everyone's ideas are represented in the final design.
Background Layering: The fun really begins as we start applying the first layers of colour to our large-scale mural or individual canvases.
Outlining & Detail: This is where the magic happens! We teach the youth how to add sharp outlines and highlights to make their art "pop".
The Grand Reveal: We step back to admire the collective work, discuss the techniques used, and snap some epic photos for social media or school portfolios.
Cleanup & Wrap-up: We ensure the area is spotless and provide certificates of participation to celebrate the new skills learned.

Local culture

Rezekne, known as the "Heart of Latgale," is a city where tradition meets modern innovation. From the striking architecture of GORS to the creative vibes at Zeimuļs, this city is the perfect backdrop for contemporary art. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging young Rezeknians to add their own modern chapter to the city's rich cultural story. We love working in this part of Latvia because the energy is always through the roof! 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know that Rezekne is built on seven hills? Much like Rome, but with way more Latgalian soul and, thanks to us, a lot more street art potential! 🎨

While we love the vibe in Rezekne, we also bring our spray cans to other Latvian hubs like Riga, Daugavpils, Liepaja, and Jelgava. No matter where you are in the country, we are ready to bring the paint.

Pricing

We believe that high-quality art experiences should be accessible to all youth organisations. Our pricing is flexible based on the number of participants and the specific goals of your project.
