Do I need to have any artistic experience to join?

Absolutely! Most of our participants have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists break down the process into easy, manageable steps. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques. By the end of the Hamilton workshop, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created. We focus on fun and expression, so there is zero pressure to be a 'perfect' artist. 🎨

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need for a stellar creative session! This includes high-quality spray paint in a rainbow of colours, protective gloves, masks, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the canvases or designated wall space. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and some comfortable shoes you don't mind getting a little dusty. We've got the logistics covered! ✨

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We use high-quality paints and provide all necessary safety gear, including professional-grade masks and gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor or indoor spaces that meet all local Hamilton safety regulations. Our instructors are also trained to ensure everyone uses the equipment correctly and stays safe while having a blast. 🛡️

How long does a typical session last?

A standard public art workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of your large-scale piece. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for staying energized and focused without getting tired. If you have a specific schedule, we can often adjust the timing to suit your needs! ⏳

What happens if it rains on the day of our workshop?

Hamilton weather can be unpredictable, but we always have a Plan B! If we're scheduled for an outdoor mural and it rains, we usually move to a covered location or an indoor studio space. We have backup artists and flexible venues ready to go so that your creative flow doesn't get interrupted by a few raindrops. Your booking is safe with us! 🌧️

Can we book a workshop for a large group?

We love hosting groups of all sizes! Whether you are a small family of four or a large community group of 50+, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional artists to ensure everyone gets personalized attention and guidance. Hamilton community groups and corporate teams often find our workshops to be the ultimate bonding experience. Just let us know your numbers! 👥

How does the payment process work?

We make the process as stress-free as possible. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book. You can settle the payment after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. We accept various payment methods for your convenience. This way, you can focus entirely on the art and the fun without worrying about the paperwork beforehand! 💸

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Hamilton (or "Steeltown" as we fondly call it) has transformed into one of Canada's most exciting hubs for visual storytelling. The city's industrial backdrop provides a stunning contrast to the vibrant murals found in the International Village and the Westbeth area. Every year, festivals like Supercrawl showcase how deeply art is woven into the DNA of this city. Our workshops tap into that local "Hamilton Spirit"—hardworking, authentic, and incredibly creative.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Hamilton is home to several legal graffiti walls where the community is encouraged to express themselves? It's this open-minded approach that makes Hamilton one of the best places in Ontario to pick up a spray can! 🏙️

Pricing

Investment in creativity

Our workshop prices typically range from C$40 to C$90 per person.

Because every event in Hamilton is unique—whether it's a small backyard bash or a massive street festival—the final price depends on your group size, location, and the amount of paint required.

No upfront payment needed! You only pay when the job is done and you're happy. 🏆
