What should I wear to a graffiti workshop in Hamilton?

For our cultural events in Hamilton, we use low-odor, high-quality professional spray paint. While we provide protective ponchos, gloves, and masks, we highly recommend wearing 'painting clothes' and shoes you don't mind getting a little colorful. Street art is a hands-on experience, and sometimes the wind likes to share the paint! Once the paint dries on fabric, it’s usually there for good, making your outfit a unique souvenir.

Do I need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most of our participants have never touched a spray can before. Our Hamilton street artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We start with basic can control and line work before moving on to filling and outlining. You'll be amazed at the masterpiece you can create by the end of the session with just a little guidance and some creative confidence.

Where in Hamilton do the workshops take place?

We can host workshops at various creative hubs across Hamilton, or we can bring the entire setup to your specific event location. Whether it's a community center, a parking lot, or a private gallery space, we use mobile graffiti walls and protective flooring to ensure the environment remains clean while the art stays on the canvas. We are fully mobile and flexible to fit your event's needs.

Is the spray paint safe to use for everyone?

Safety is our top priority. We provide FFP2 or professional-grade masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes, along with gloves and protective gear. Our instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone picks up a can. We also ensure proper ventilation at all our sites. Our Hamilton team consists of seasoned pros who know how to keep the environment fun, respectful, and completely safe for all ages.

How long does a typical street art session last?

A standard cultural event workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for introductions, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the creation of a final collaborative or individual piece. If you have a specific schedule for your event in Hamilton, just let us know! We can often tailor the duration to fit into your festival or community gathering perfectly.

How does the payment process work? Do I pay upfront?

We are one of the few providers that doesn't require upfront payment to secure your booking. We believe in our service and want you to feel confident. You can pay via invoice or bank transfer after the workshop is completed. This makes it much easier for community organizers and event planners in Hamilton to manage their budgets without the stress of immediate out-of-pocket expenses.

Local culture

Hamilton, affectionately known as 'The Hammer,' has undergone a massive cultural shift over the last decade. While its roots are firmly planted in the steel industry, its heart now beats with a thriving independent art scene. The city is home to incredible murals that tell stories of resilience and rebirth, especially around the vibrant James Street North corridor. Our Hamilton workshops celebrate this 'scrappy but soulful' identity, encouraging participants to embrace the city's unique mix of industrial history and modern creativity. 🎨

Hamilton Fun Fact: Did you know that Hamilton has more waterfalls than any other city of its size in the world? We like to think our spray paint flows just as freely!
