Can you perform live painting at indoor venues in Hamilton?

Absolutely! We use specialized low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and acrylics designed for indoor use. If your Hamilton venue has specific ventilation requirements, we can also utilize water-based paints or paint markers to ensure a comfortable environment for all your guests while still delivering that high-impact street art aesthetic.

What do you actually paint on during the event?

We are totally flexible! We can paint on large-scale canvases, custom-built wooden panels, or even temporary film walls. The best part? You get to keep the artwork afterward! It makes for a fantastic permanent installation in your Hamilton office or a one-of-a-kind giveaway for a lucky event attendee.

Can our guests participate in the painting process?

While our artist does the heavy lifting, we love making it interactive! We can set up a 'guest participation' area where your attendees can add a few strokes or tags under our guidance. It’s a great way to break the ice and get everyone feeling like they are part of Hamilton's creative scene.

How long does a live painting session typically last?

A standard live painting performance usually lasts between 2 to 4 hours, perfectly timed with your event's peak hours. However, we can scale this up for multi-day festivals or shorten it for a high-intensity keynote reveal. We’ll work with your schedule to ensure the 'big reveal' happens exactly when you want it.

Do we get to choose what the artist paints?

Our artists are pros at tailoring their style to your needs. Whether you want a gritty, underground Hamilton street art look, a clean corporate logo integration, or a vibrant abstract piece that matches your wedding colours, we’ve got you covered. We discuss the concept, colour palette, and themes with you well in advance.

Do we need to provide any materials or equipment?

Not at all! Our professional Hamilton graffiti artists come fully prepared. We bring the drop cloths, masking tape, protective gear, and all painting supplies. All we need from you is a designated space (roughly 3x3 metres) and perhaps a little bit of lighting if the event is in a dim venue. We handle the setup and the cleanup.

How does the booking and payment process work?

Booking is easy and stress-free. Once we've chatted about your vision and confirmed the date, we get to work on the design. The best part? There is no upfront payment required with Graffitifun. You only pay after the workshop or performance is completed, ensuring you are 100% satisfied with the creative energy we bring to your event.

The experience

Why choose a live painting performance for your Hamilton event? Because "typical" is boring, and your guests deserve an experience they’ll actually remember. Here is why it works every time:

Magnetic Attraction: People naturally gravitate toward creation; the sound of the spray can and the evolving colours act as an instant crowd-puller. 🧲
Customized Storytelling: We don't just paint random shapes; we weave your brand’s mission or the event’s theme into the very fabric of the art. 📖
Social Media Fire: Live art is highly "Instagrammable." Expect your event to trend as guests share time-lapses and selfies with the work-in-progress. 🔥
Authentic Steeltown Spirit: Hamilton is a city of builders and creators. Live graffiti honors that hands-on, industrious local culture. 💪
Zero Stress for You: We handle the setup, execution, and cleanup, so you can focus on hosting while we provide the entertainment. 🚀
A Lasting Legacy: After the party ends, you have a physical piece of art that serves as a permanent memory of a great day. 🏆

Step by step

Initial vibe check: You reach out and tell us about your Hamilton event. We’ll chat about your goals, whether it’s a brand launch or a private bash.
Design conceptualization: Our artists sketch out a concept that aligns with your theme, incorporating your logos, colours, or specific Hamilton landmarks.
Logistics planning: We coordinate with your venue manager to ensure we have the right space, floor protection, and ventilation for a seamless setup.
Setup and prep: On the big day, we arrive early to set up our "mobile studio," ensuring everything is masked off and ready for the first spray.
The live performance: Our artist begins! Guests watch as a blank surface transforms into a masterpiece, creating a focal point for the entire evening.
Interactive moments: If you've opted for it, we invite guests to pick up a can and add their own "Hamilton flair" under our expert supervision.
The final reveal: As the event peaks, the artist puts the finishing touches on the piece, creating a "wow" moment for photos and videos.
Cleanup and hand-off: We pack up our gear and leave the space spotless. The artwork is yours to keep, display, or auction off!

Good to know

Duration: Performances typically last 2 to 4 hours, but we can customize this to fit your event schedule perfectly. ⏱️
Group Sizes: While the painting is a performance for everyone to see, we can accommodate guest participation for groups from 10 to 500+ people. Group size helps determine the scale of the artwork. 👥
What’s Included: All professional spray paint (including low-odour options), protective flooring, canvases or panels, and safety gear for any guest participants. 🎒
Safety First: We prioritize safety with proper ventilation plans, non-toxic materials where necessary, and a professional team that knows how to manage a crowd. 🛡️
Backup Artists: We have a deep roster of talent, so even if an artist gets sick, the show goes on! 🎭

Local culture

Hamilton, or "The Ambitious City," has a heart of steel and a soul of pure art. We absolutely love the grit and creativity found in the local scene, from the massive murals in the West End to the monthly Art Crawls that turn the streets into a gallery. Our live painting sessions tap into that local Hamilton hustle, blending industrial vibes with modern artistic expression. We feel right at home here, contributing to the city's reputation as a rising cultural powerhouse in Ontario.

🎨 Fun Fact: Hamilton is home to one of the highest concentrations of street art per capita in the region, with the annual "Concrete Canvas" festival transforming entire downtown blocks into world-class open-air museums!

Whether your event is in a renovated textile mill or a sleek modern space, our artists bring that authentic Steeltown edge that your guests will recognize and respect.
