How it works

  1. Intro & Street Art Culture: We kick things off with a chat about the history of graffiti and the crucial difference between tagging and street art.
  2. Safety Briefing & Gear Up: Everyone gets fitted with masks, gloves, and overalls. Safety first, style second!
  3. First Lines & Techniques: Our pros show you how to control the pressure, use different caps, and master the 'fade'.
  4. Sketching the Vision: We move to the wall (or canvas) and start sketching the outline of our community masterpiece.
  5. Adding the Colour: This is the fun part! The group works together to fill in the design with vibrant, professional spray paint.
  6. Detailing & Outlining: Learn how to make the art 'pop' by adding sharp outlines, highlights, and 3D effects.
  7. The Big Reveal: We step back to admire the finished work and take group photos with your new Mercedes landmark.
  8. Cleanup & Wrap-up: We ensure the site is spotless and have a final debrief on the positive impact of legal street art.

Frequently asked questions

How does a graffiti workshop help prevent vandalism?

Our anti-vandalism program in Mercedes focuses on 'Art over Crime'. We teach participants that street art is a discipline requiring skill, planning, and permission. By providing a legal outlet and professional guidance, we channel the urge to tag into productive, community-admired murals. This shift in mindset reduces illegal graffiti by fostering a sense of ownership and pride in local public spaces.

Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! No prior artistic talent is needed. Our Mercedes-based professional artists specialize in teaching 'non-artists' how to handle a spray can. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques. You'll be amazed at the high-quality mural your group can produce when guided by our expert team. It’s all about the process and having fun!

Is the workshop safe for participants?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially prepared indoor spaces. We only use professional-grade spray paint that meets safety standards, and our instructors are trained to ensure a secure environment for everyone.

Can we choose the theme or design of the mural?

Of course! While our anti-vandalism program has a structured educational component, we want you to express your own style. We work with you to incorporate specific themes, logos, or messages that resonate with your group or the Mercedes community. Whether it's a social message or a company brand, we help you bring your unique vision to life on the wall.

How long does a typical session last?

The workshop duration is flexible to suit your schedule. Generally, a standard session lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction to street art culture, a technique masterclass, and the actual creation of the mural. If you have a larger project in mind for a community space in Mercedes, we can extend the session or plan it over multiple days.

Do I need to pay a deposit to secure our date?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'No Stress' booking policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront! We believe in the quality of our service, so you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. This makes it easy for schools, businesses, and community groups in Mercedes to book with total confidence.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

We offer full flexibility. While Mercedes usually enjoys great weather, we always have a Plan B. We can move the session to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space using low-odour paints and protective floor covering. Alternatively, because we have a large team of backup artists, we can often reschedule to a different date that works for you without any hassle.
