Do we need to bring our own supplies for the graffiti session?

For our networking events in Dessie, we provide everything! This includes premium spray paint in a huge variety of colors, respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposal overalls to keep your professional clothes clean. We also provide the canvases or walls for the artwork. You just need to show up with an open mind and a willingness to connect with others. We handle all the setup and cleanup.

What if some of our attendees have no artistic experience?

Absolutely not! Our professional artists specialize in teaching beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold the can, pressure control, and simple lines—before moving on to collaborative pieces. The beauty of these networking events is that the 'newness' of the activity acts as an equalizer, making it easier for people to strike up conversations and bond over their shared learning experience.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

Dessie weather can be unpredictable, but we are prepared! Most of our networking workshops can be held at indoor venues with proper ventilation or under large outdoor shelters. If we have to move indoors, we ensure the space is well-protected and safe for spraying. We also have backup dates or locations available if the weather truly doesn't cooperate, ensuring your event goes off without a hitch.

How long does a typical creative networking session last?

Networking can be tiring, so we typically schedule these events for 2 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction, protective gear fitting, the artistic workshop, and plenty of 'free-flow' time for people to chat while they paint. We find this is the sweet spot for keeping the energy high without making the afternoon feel too long or rushed for the participants.

Is the spray paint safe to use in a group setting?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to all participants to prevent inhalation of fumes, and we ensure all workshops take place in well-ventilated areas. Our instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. We use professional-grade materials that are safe when used according to our guidelines, ensuring a worry-free experience for everyone involved.

Can we host the event at our own chosen location in Dessie?

We are very flexible! We can bring the workshop to your office courtyard, a local park in Dessie, or suggest one of our partner creative spaces. The main requirement is a flat surface and permission to use the space for art. If you don't have a spot in mind, our local team can help find the perfect 'street-art-approved' location that fits your brand's vibe.

Is there a requirement for upfront payment?

We believe in the quality of our events, so we don't require any payment before the workshop. You can book your date, and we will handle all the preparations. Payment is only settled after the event is completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience we've provided to your guests. It’s our way of showing we are confident you’ll love the results!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Dessie, perched high in the highlands, has always been a hub of trade and culture. We love bringing street art to this city because its geography—with those breathtaking mountain views—provides the perfect backdrop for inspiration. The local culture here is warm and communal, which matches the spirit of our workshops perfectly. In Dessie, "Abeba" isn't just about flowers; it's about growth, and we see that same growth in the professional relationships built over a shared mural.

Fun fact: Dessie's name translates to "My Joy" in Amharic, given by Emperor Yohannes IV. We aim to bring that exact same joy to your next professional meetup through the power of color! ⛰️
