Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students in Dessie who join us have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics—handling the can, nozzle pressure, and simple lines. We provide all the guidance and safety gear needed, so you can focus on having fun and being creative without any stress. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at what you've created!

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard university workshop in Dessie typically lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief introduction, safety instructions, sketching your ideas, practicing your technique, and finally creating the full-scale mural. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window between lectures, we can customise the timing to fit your event perfectly.

Is the spray paint safe for students to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and specialised masks to ensure no paint gets on your clothes or in your lungs. We also conduct our workshops in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or large indoor halls with proper airflow. Our artists are trained to supervise the group closely and ensure a safe, professional environment for everyone involved.

Where in Dessie do the workshops take place?

We are totally mobile! We can bring the workshop directly to your campus in Dessie, whether it's an outdoor courtyard or a sports field. If your university doesn't have a suitable spot, we can arrange a nearby creative location or use our professional mobile graffiti walls that we set up and take down, leaving no mess behind. We make it easy for you.

What is the maximum group size for a university event?

We can accommodate groups of almost any size. For smaller clubs of 10-15 people, it’s a very intimate and focused session. For larger university-wide events or orientations with 100+ students, we bring in additional backup artists to ensure everyone gets hands-on time and guidance. We never want anyone standing around; everyone gets to paint and contribute to the final masterpiece.

How does the payment process work for student groups?

We believe in a 'fun-first' policy, which means you don't have to worry about upfront payments. You can book your date and confirm the details with us, and payment is only handled after the workshop is completed. This keeps things simple and stress-free for student unions and university treasurers. We want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience we provide.

What kind of things will we actually be painting?

Your creativity is the limit! We can work on a giant collective mural that represents your faculty or student association, or we can provide individual canvases that students can take home to decorate their dorm rooms. Lately, 'tote bag' graffiti or painting on recycled materials has also been very popular in Ethiopia. We’ll discuss the best format for your specific university event during the booking.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Dessie, the "City of the Gates," is known for its incredible mountain views and vibrant trading spirit. Bringing a graffiti workshop here adds a modern, urban layer to the city's rich history. We love the energy of the youth in Dessie—there's a unique blend of traditional Ethiopian pride and a hunger for new, global creative trends. Whether we are painting near the bustling markets or on the outskirts with a view of Mount Tulu Gudo, the atmosphere is always electric. 🇪🇹

Fun Fact: Did you know Dessie sits at an elevation of over 2,400 meters? That high-altitude air makes the spray paint dry even faster, perfect for those quick, sharp layers in your artwork! 🏔️
