What materials are included in the charity event package?

For our charity events in Dessie, we provide everything needed for a successful creative fundraiser. This includes high-quality spray cans in a wide variety of colours, protective gear (overalls, gloves, and masks), boards or canvases for the artwork, and expert guidance from our professional artists. We handle the setup and the cleanup, so your organisation can focus entirely on connecting with donors and raising those essential funds for your local cause.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for all participants?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and provide all necessary protective equipment. Our experienced instructors lead a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We ensure the environment in Dessie is well-ventilated and managed professionally, making it a safe, inclusive, and fun experience for participants of all ages and backgrounds who want to support your charity.

How long does a typical graffiti charity session last?

Usually, a standard charity workshop lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. However, for larger fundraisers or community festivals in Dessie, we can adapt the schedule. We can run multiple short 'drop-in' sessions throughout the day or one continuous collaborative mural project. We work closely with your event planners to ensure the timing fits perfectly with your speeches, auctions, or other scheduled fundraising activities.

Do participants need to have previous artistic skills?

The beauty of graffiti is that no prior experience is needed! Our artists are experts at teaching the basics—from 'tagging' to 'piecing'—to complete beginners. In the context of a Dessie charity event, this means anyone from local business leaders to students can participate. We guide everyone through the process, ensuring they feel confident and proud of the artwork they create for your worthy cause.

Can the event be hosted at a location of our choice in Dessie?

Yes, we are highly flexible! While we often work outdoors for better ventilation, we can set up 'pop-up' graffiti walls in various locations around Dessie. Whether it is a community centre courtyard, a school field, or a specific event venue, we bring the mobile studio to you. If the weather is an issue, we have indoor solutions using specialized water-based paints that are safe for internal use with proper setup.

What is the process for booking and payment?

We offer a very flexible booking policy for our Ethiopian partners. You don't need to make an upfront payment; you can pay after the workshop is successfully completed. We also have backup artists available to ensure your charity event never has to be cancelled due to unforeseen staff issues. We know how much effort goes into fundraising, so we provide maximum reliability and peace of mind.

How does a graffiti workshop actually help raise money?

One of the coolest ways to raise money is to auction off the collaborative mural created during the event! Alternatively, participants can create individual canvases to take home in exchange for a donation. The visual impact of a live graffiti session also attracts more foot traffic and social media buzz to your event, which naturally leads to higher engagement and more opportunities for your charity to share its message and collect donations.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Dessie, the "Buna Qala" city nestled in the beautiful highlands of the Amhara Region, has always been a hub of culture and trade. We love the energy of this city, from the bustling markets to the vibrant community spirit that defines the Wollo people. Bringing a graffiti workshop to Dessie feels natural because this city has a long history of creative expression and resilience. We aim to blend the modern urban feel of street art with the rich local heritage, creating events that feel both contemporary and deeply rooted in the local community.

Fun Fact about Dessie: Did you know that Dessie's name translates to "My Joy" in Amharic? It was reportedly named by Emperor Yohannes IV when he saw the beautiful lights of the settlement at night. We think there is no better place to bring the "joy" of art to a charitable cause!
